After seeing Cooltrainer Alan's Smogon Tier run, I began to look at those In-game tiers myself. Looking at HGSS, I saw so many awesome Pokemon, stuck down in the lower tiers. This disgusted me, so I transfered all my good Pokemon and Items off my Soul Silver Cartridge and started a brand new file.
1. You may only use Pokemon listed by Smogon as being in Mid-tier or below.
1a. Delve into the lower tiers! You can only use 2 Mid-tier Pokemon.

2. Starters are kinda overused. Use them until you've delivered the Egg to Elm, but then trade it over for any Pokemon from another game. This Pokemon must still be Mid-tier or below. (Used: Snorunt)

3. Since the Togepi egg, while a plot point, is in the higher tiers, you may trade over an egg of any Johto-region Mid-tier or below Baby Pokemon. Since the Togepi had Extrasensory, the replacement can have an egg move too! (Used: Tyrogue w/ Mach Punch)

4. Wipe five times = failure.
4a. Each time Lance is beaten, you have one more wipe to use.

5. In order for the run to be completed, all pre-Red stationary legendaries must be eliminated.

6. No X Items allowed.

And the team will be, drumroll please...
[animate]froslass[/animate],[animate]hitmonlee[/animate],[animate]slowbro[/animate], [animate]sandslash[/animate],[animate]yanmega[/animate], and Girafarig(animated sprites don't seem to work for Johto Pokemon)

I would have some updates here, but Hurricane Sandy came along and took out my power, so I was completely unable to update. So, here's a brief summary:
Did all the beginning stuff, traded over my Snorunt (Arctica), beat the Sprout Tower and Falkner, took half an hour out of my life to hatch the Tyrogue (Percival), went through to Azalea, caught a Slowpoke (Samus), wiped to Bugsy's Scyther, trained a little, beat him. Then, I went through Ilex Forest to Goldenrod, spent some time getting a Sandshrew (Mudpie), then spent some more time getting a Yanma (Lightyear), who I promptly placed in the daycare. After eliminating all accessible trainers, I beat Whitney, then went on to Morty, who wiped the floor with me using his Gengar. I trained a little, evolved Arctica using a Dawn Stone I traded over, wiped the floor with him. Surfed over to Mahogany, then caught my last member, Girafarig (Sable), after which I barely beat Chuck, beat the Mahogany Rockets, beat Pryce, beat Jasmine, then beat the Goldenrod tower.
Glad I got that out of my system.

RE: A Soul Silver Underdog Run

If you need sprites go to sprites.pokecheck.org. It has all gen sprites for 5th gen normal, shiny, normal back, and shiny back.

This looks cool, I kinda forgot about mine I should finish it :p

RE: A Soul Silver Underdog Run

Alright, if you want to know why I haven't updated for over a week, it's because I've been playing Voltorb Flip for a while to get 2 Ice Beam TMs, One for my Froslass and one for my Slowpoke (now a Slowbro). Now that I think of it, it's pretty easy to understand how that game gets so much hate.

So, after that, I traversed Ice Cave, trained a little, then took on the gym. The first time, I wiped to Claire's second Dragonair. 3 wipes used. The second time, I did considerably better. And by that, I mean I wiped to her Kingdra instead. 4 wipes used.

So, yeah, if I try to fight her again so soon, then I will probably wipe, and 5 wipes means I've failed. I'm actually considering trading my Pokemon over to my Platinum cartridge, then training them up to about level 42 and tearing those dragons to shreds. Seriously, grinding in HGSS is that terrible.

Also, I don't think I will do Red. I'm trying to get this run done relatively quickly, since I have an extra-special new run planned to do after this. Grinding to 70-something would just take too long. However, I will still fight all the legendaries.
