Absol/Arcanine for states

This is the deck im going to use for states on the 17th. Need to know what to fix.

The strategy is to get Absol out first to cause a lot of damage. I also want to get Emboar (ability) out there with Arcanine or even Reshiram to help with energy cost so I can keep attacking with them. Absol and Arcanine are gona be my main attackers. Zoroark I might use to help get cards out of the deck, but will mainly used for opponents with pokemon who have strong attacks. I put N and Black Belt in there just to help me if I start to lose. I put Battle City and all of those trainers in to get energy’s and pokemon out fast.

Absol is going to be your main attacker? That doesn't sound very good since it really only does 70 plus its ability. 1-1 arcanine is never going to last IMO. Neither is 1 absol. Maybe take out zoroark (kind of dead in the format) and simisear for it. Too many energy too. Pokeball is too floppy. Communication is way better. Try adding some reshiram EX too since it goes well with emboar. Revive isn't really necessary either. Neither is energy search. Cilan would be better. I just don't like emcee's chatter nor IQ since they aren't that great. You need to add a lot more draw power. Take out some energies for them. Catcher, rare candy, junk arm would be very good too. Why absol? It isn't that great as a main attacker IMO.

So Absol Prime and Arcanine are your main attackers? how does that work when you're only running 1 of each card. Reshiram does a better job than both of those cards as it has more HP and can deal more damage. You would be ALOT better off if you focused the deck on Reshiram & Emboar. Why? The combination of both cards have proven to be successful in the past plus those are the best 2 pokemon in your deck currently that are worth using in a competitive deck in this format. I'll just give you a quick skeleton list (i've taken into consideration that you need this finalised before the end of the week so i'll list easy to obtain cards)

I listed a suitable "search engine" that you can use for the deck however if you can somehow obtain Pokemon Collector then that would help you a great deal. Reshiram (& Reshiram EX to some extent) should be your only attacker(s), you should only be using Reshiram EX to OHKO pokemon that pose a huge threat to the deck OR if you can take multiple prizes with it and increase your prize lead (or even it out). 14 energy seems like enough for this deck. Just be sure to run at least 3 Energy Retrieval if not 4 as this deck doesn't utilise Junk Arm (you should get those cards too if you can)

Here are a list of cards that should consider for this deck

Ninetales HGSS: This may seem a bit counter-productive as you want energy in your hand as apposed having them in the discard pile but considering you need Emboar (and its prevelutions) in your hand quickly you may need some extra draw power in your deck. Plus with Energy Retrieval you'll be able to get back the energy you discarded with Ninetales.

Victini: This is purely for Reshiram EX to help with the recoil damage (if you flip tails)

Eviolite: Your main attackers are basic pokemon, Eviolite was designed to be used with basic pokemon. Eviolite also helps reduce Reshiram EX's recoil damage (slightly makes Victini unecessary)

Rare Candy: This card has been seeing play since 2002 (If i remember correctly). It is a staple card in all decks that use Stage 2 pokemon. Obtaining this would help dramatically.

Do you guys think that if I put in another Arcanine it would be any better? Also whats wrong with Absol?Don't you need a pokemon to put in the deck to use Pokemon Communication?

Is absol just going to be there as a starter and arcane being the actually attacker or...? I think terrakion would be better instead of bouffalant but its just a preference thing.

Yah Absol would only act as a starter. The Throh is the one with 80 attack and 100 hp(hope that helped). This deck is made up of the best cards I have and unfortionitly I can't get most of the cards you say unless I could get them for a good price. Any ideas as of where i could get these cards at good prices?

First off, you need 2 AbilityBoar, in case 1 is prized, or whatever. Also, try Cincinno as a 2nd attacker, rather than simisear. On the Contrary, you have too many attackers, Absolve, Reshiram, Arcanine. Etc. Also, try Level or Heavy ball instead of PokeBall(or Comm). Emcees Chatter is also way worse than Cheren or sages.

You know a deck looks professional when every card is in ones and twos, my gosh!

I like it, it looks really rogue and coule possibly work. I think with all of these small lines of pokemons you should run some twins and definitely some draw cards like N or PONT.
