Discussion Absol PLF as a Rayquaza Counter

I was thinking about Absol PLF, and how there's not much of a spot for in today's meta. Then I thought of Skyfield and Mega Rayquaza. In theory, if a Rayquaza player has 8 benched pokemon, you will Mind Jack for 180, which can easily be a knock out with some additions. I was wondering what you thought. Could this be a possible counter to Mega Ray?

Well, it only does 180 with a Muscle Band. Then they knock you out. If you don't play three or four, they are almost useless. I would honestly rather run Raichu since then it's not limited to dark decks.

Don't forget Mind Jack requires two Energy to work, unless you use the good ol' Mew-EX + Dimensional Valley trick to take advantage of it. Regardless, you're still giving up two Prizes the next turn, and you don't even OHKO a Mega Ray. If you're straight up using Absol, you're gonna need Colress Machine. Which means you're playing Plasma. Which isn't very good right now. So. No.

I can find it working in expanded where Plasma is better. I doubt you could just throw it in any deck. Maybe a copy in Yveltal but then I don't think it's worth it. To one shot Mega Ray: They need 8 bench (180), muscle band on Absol (200), and 2 Deoxys EX in play, (220).

I can see Absol being an inclusion in M Rayqueza EX decks as a non ex attacker. I cant see it being used as a counter to M Rayqueza EX decks though, I feel a smart player wouldnt even put the skyfield down to KO the absol that they could with only 5 benched pokemon, and their is not much that can OHKO a Rayqueza EX so they could just wait to play their stadium until your bring out a Big EX pokemon which they will be able to OHKO rather easily.
