Ruling Absol sw

My question is about attack "raid"

when I and my opponent start a game and I put absol as my active pokemon (before draw) at my first turn I can attack with 40 dmg instead of 10?
 
Interesting question... yes, because you still played it from your hand, so it would do 40 (50 with a special dark :p)

It;s fantastic with Fossils, though. Start with fossil, play Absol, kill the Fossil, attach a Dark and hope for a Donk.
 
It is not cheating if you played the card at the right time and followed the rules.:)
 
actually, in Jap version, it did say it only do 10 damage if it is on the set up of the game

but if they make the rules over there then they will cahnge it here to ive also heard that whne you play it down in the set up you only do 10
