Strategy
This is a variant of the Accelgor/Mew EX/Gothitelle deck that I thought I'd play, but it's doing horribly against my Blastoise deck, so I'm wondering if it's worth playing these days or if anyone has any ideas to help me with it. I'm kind of limited on what I can play because I only have 2 Gothitelles and 1 Dusknoir, and I'm limited with what Trainers I can play as I'm lacking on certain staples.

Mew EX is there to copy Accelgor's attack, Gothitelle to prevent the opponent from playing Item cards (when it's the active 'mon of course), Dusknoir to spread the damage around, Sigilyph to wall the opponent if they're playing an EX-heavy deck, and Flareon for late in the game.

I'm having trouble setting up faster than the opponent (which has just been myself so far with my Blastoise/Keldeo/Mewtwo setup). My Pokemon are not bulky whatsoever, so 1 to 3 hits and they're gone. Once I do Accelgor's attack via Mew, I don't always have Gothitelle there, so I send out Accelgor only to be knocked out if the opponent has a Switch and a benched Pokemon ready to strike.

Sigilyph can be a double edged sword. It can stall to help me set up, but it can also allow the opponent to set up as well. And Flareon I'm sure is not all that necessary, but I decided to toss it in there at the last minute to see how it did.

Lastly, the Energy count I've been seeing on deck lists based around this strategy are x4 DCE... and that's it. I don't like having a low number of energy in my decks so I had to add some Psychic and some Prism for Mew just in case I need to use an opponent's attack.

Edited to coincide with the rules! :D ~Kecleon

I'll change the Flareon line with a Venusaur line, and also try to find room for 1 of the other Stage 1.

Thanks for the tip, I actually forgot about Venusaur's ability. (Just traded for 2 today.) I definitely might add the Venusaur in place of Flareon. I went against a TDK deck tonight and surprisingly this deck did pretty well against it. I was able to lock their use of Items for a few turns because I got 2 Gothitelle set up quickly, but having Venusaur's ability would have been a major help as I was struggling getting Mews in play and keeping them in play.

It's typical of Accelgor/Gothitelle to only have 4 DCE's because the only attack you really need is Deck and Cover. It doesn't sound like enough Energies, but once you get set up and start to Deck and Cover and thin your deck, it'll be enough. And if you want to be using Deck and Cover every turn, it'll have to be enough (unless you want to run Gardevoir). I not going to say I like Flareon in this deck, but I do see that your match up against Virizion is abysmal, and that Flareon does what it can to improve that match up. If Virizion isn't popular in your area, I wouldn't bother with Flareon since in every other match up, you have better things to attack with than Flareon.

-6 Psychic
-1 Prism
+1-1 Gothitelle; I know you said you don't have any more, but try to trade for these. Gothitelle is one of the core Pokemon for this deck to work.
+1-1 Flareon
+1 Juniper
+1 N
+1 Colress

There's a Virizion/Genesect deck at one of the small leagues here. I'll be going to a bigger league Saturday for the first time and I'll see what's popular there. If hardly any Virizion decks I'll probably take out the Flareon because it didn't do anything for me tonight at league. Hopefully I can trade for a Gothitelle this Saturday too.
