Ruling active benched Pokemon?

Hi.

Are there any circumstances during play when a benched Pokémon can do something ... like attack or search a deck for cards or something?

Okay, you can never attack with a benched Pokemon, but there are some cards, which Poke Power may allow you search in your deck for things, for instance Nidoqueed d can search for a Pokemon from your deck in your bensh, wheras Lumineon needs to be in the active spot to use it's Poke Power.

Cool.

Do all Pokebodies work from the bench? And which set is Nidoqueed from? I would like to read it.

Munch.

Thanks!

Poké-POWERS and BODIES are more powerful than we thought! My son and I have only used them when the Pokémon is active ... now we can pack even more fun into each turn.

...If we have two Pokémon on the bench each with a PokéPOWER or PokéBODY can we use both once per turn?

Yes unless they state there you cannot use more than 1 ? per turn. For example, Gardevoir SW...

Thanks PPM

If I understand you correctly this once per turn limitation means that: if for example you have two Gardevoir SW's [attachment=3591][attachment=3591] on your bench at the same time you can only perform "Telepass" once ... or if on the other hand you had both Gardevoir SW and Toxicrak MT [attachment=3591][attachment=3590] on your bench you could perform both the "Telepass" and "Poison Sacs" Poké-BODIES once per turn, right?

...and all this for 0 energy and a few measly evolutions!?!? Wow, maybe I have to go and invite Professor Elm's TM x4 to my ShadowBlaze deck the next time I play.

Learning & listening, Munchlaxx.

Poison Sacs is always on.

While all Poke-Powers are optional to be used, Poke-Bodies are always on, all the time, as long as the requirements to use those Poke-Bodies are met. Poison Sacs has no requirement, so it's just on from the moment you play Toxicroak. You don't have a choice in the matter, it's just always on.

Some Poke-Bodies only work while in the Active spot, such as Abomasnow from Mysterious Treasures:

I believe there are some Poke-Bodies that can only be used while that Pokemon is on the Bench, but I can't find a recent example of that.

You are right in saying Telepass can be used only once a turn no matter how many Gardevoir you have in play. However, if you had, say, four Typhlosion MT in play, you would be able to use Firestarter 4 times because there is no restriction listed on that card saying you may only use one Firestarter Poke-Power a turn:

So, to summarize, you may use as many different Poke-Powers you like during your turn. Poke-Bodies are not used, but rather always on.

Well, Mudkip CG'S (#57) body needs to be on the bench to be activated.

your right but u dont reliey on mudkip allt he time so its only good for the midkip if its getting biult up to attack.

True, it's no super power.
