The strategy of this deck is to constantly be using Aegislash's king's shield ability to destroy EX decks. along with KlinKlang, I would be receiving almost no damage from any pokemon and with Keldeo I could make sure I get to use it every turn. The other Aegislash is for a burst of damage when I know I won't be dying.
I am just having a little trouble getting it going. It does have a hefty retreat cost and I'm not sure of how to make it faster. I know getting 2 stage 2 pokes out with the attacker having a 4 energy cost will be slow but I need something to attack while I set up and Registeel kinda just isn't enough.

Edited to coincide with the rules! :D ~Kecleon

RE: Aegislash/ KlinKlang

If Registeel EX isn't working, try Mewtwo EX. It is a great attacker both late and early game. I currently run this deck with some slight variants, for instance I play 2 copies of Mew EX and 1 Mr. Mime. PLF. Mew EX allows me to use King's Shield while Aegislash is on the bench safe from poison and bench damage with Mr. Mime's ability. Either way, I would consider running a copy of Mewtwo EX as well as a Mime.

-1 Registeel EX
-1 Metal energy
+1 Mr. Mime PLF
+1 Mewtwo EX

I also notice that you have no ACE SPEC. To me, Dowsing Machine is the most versatile the ability to get any trainer card from my discard pile is really helpful. Also, since you need Rare Candy to pull off a quick evolution and may need a Float Stone for Keldeo EX, I would run 2 copies of Skyla.

-1 N
-1 Colress
-1 Level Ball
+1 Dowsing Machine ACE SPEC
+2 Skyla

I took out 1 Colress since a lot of decks are running just 1 now, 1 level ball since only a couple Pokemon are hunted out with it, and 1 N since that was all I could think to take out at that point.

Hope this helps,

RE: Aegislash/ KlinKlang

Thanks for the help! I knew I would have to throw a few skyla in there. luckily I have everything you suggested but the Mr. Mime and Dowsing machine. Does it make sense to add that card to my deck now knowing the format will be shifting very soon and Ace Spec cards will be leaving the game?

ACE-SPEC cards are going to be around for at least another year.

RE: Aegislash/ KlinKlang

I don't really think the klinklang line is necessary because aegislash already prevents all damage done to him. So if you want to go that route:
-3-1-3 klinklang
+1 keldeo ex
+1 float stone
+5 other stuff

It's more for being able to use the sword Aegislash when I know I can't die from a non EX next turn. If I were to try and King's Shield EX pokemon it would take 3 to 4 hits. with Buster Swing it will take 2 at most

Having that in mind, I was thinking about putting in another sword Aegislash.

In my opinion, the Mr. Mime doesn't seem that useful. This is because most pokemon that will threaten your bench with a lot of damage are EX pokemon. having KlinKlang will stop any of that damage so I think I would be okay with taking 10 damage here and there from Flygon (which is the only threat I can think of off the top of my head). I can't stop Greninja from using his ability on me so it would seem to me that Mr. Mime would not be as another supporter or something. What do you think?

I think that since Kinklang prevents damage from EX's it wouldn't be necessary to use the Mime right now however we don't know what the future may hold. If some non-EX attacker comes in with huge bench damage then yeah. Definitely run Mime. For now, I think you're safe. Instead of Mime, try running 1 Lysandre when May comes. It's guaranteed Catcher and if you have no supporter in hand, it can be useful to get 120 in with Buster Swing on a benched EX that isn't that far from being dead.

+1 Lysandre

So far I have had a great time playing this deck and I have actually winning a lot of games with it. For anyone who does decide to play this deck though you have to understand that the fastest setup possible is probably around 3 turns (getting Aegishield out with 4 energies and a Keldeo with a float stone attached) so you will be losing a prize or 2 before you get in motion. Once you are setup though, you will not give up a prize! Although the Aegislash cards are important, do everything in your power to make sure your Keldeo stays alive!! you only have one and if your super rod is gone you are screwed. However, I can't see myself putting in another Keldeo because the deck already seems pretty fluid but I'm still open for suggestions on how to make it better :)

Just edit the original list for your newest changes next time. Thanks! :D ~Kecleon

I like this a lot! I've been thinking up something simular, except with fairies to help it out and keep it unkillable :D Would you mind saying whats been giving it issues?

Plasma, with the quick set up, and DarkGarb (in the mega game near me). Once, I got creamed when using this deck by a Yveltal/Spiritomb/Hydregon. (Yes, I know the spelling of those is bad).

Just saying, but if Klinklang is there to protect Sword Aegislash IF you ever use it, why don't you lower the line a bit and thicken other things that might help you consistensy or setup?
I'd do:
- 1-0-1 Klinklang
+2 Other cards. Some that might help:
-Tool Scrapper
-Heavy Ball
-Muscle Band
-N
-Colress

Why run the Klinklang line to prevent damage from EX's when you have better options such as Safeguard Suicune which with Keldeo and several Water energies can help cover weakness to Fire which shouldn't be an issue by continuously using King's Shield with Aegislash. If anyone in your meta is running Garbodor to stop your combo with Aegislash's King's Shield attack and Keldeo's Rush In then I highly recommend running 2-3 Tool Scrapper/Startling Megaphone.

2 more Muscle Band should work and I'd make some space for Blend or Water Energies incase you want to use Secret Sword with Keldeo which most of the time you're going to be using King's Shield for 70 with Muscle Band attached. I'd probably take Juniper out for Shauna but If Juniper is working good for you then keep it in, add in 1 more Professor's Letter, run 3 Level Ball and 3 Ultra Ball, take out Switch for another Colress, and after that I think the deck should be good to go.

Hey, sorry for my absence from this thread. I was under the impression that once it hit the second page it was dead. But anyway, I took a quick break from the game to focus on college stuff. Luis, I completely agree with your decision to ligthten the KlingKlang load in the deck. I knew I desperately needed tool scrapper when I was playing but was very unsure of what I should replace it with. Your idea seems very good to me.

Card Slinger, I'm thinking of ways to implement what you are saying into the deck but to me, I feel like I would have to remove too many cards that make the deck feel consistent. I would need to make a space for. What would you consider replacing?
