• When creating a thread in the Deck Garage, make sure that you post one deck per thread, you use the correct prefix, you have the set name/card number next to each card, you give a strategy for non-metagame decks, and give translations for all cards not available in English.

When posting in a thread, be sure to explain all your suggestions thoroughly. Additionally, do not ask for advice in another member's thread.

Aggressive Discard (Krookodile / Darkrai EX / Yveltal EX / Honchkrow)

[ Note: This deck is not supposed to be particularly dominating the meta-game; it was created out of curiosity and because I am having fun with it. It has some serious issues, part of the reason why I created this thread. ]

Pokemon:

  • [16]
    - Krookodile 2-2-2 (Emerging Powers 62)
    - Darkrai Ex 3x (Dark Explorers 63)
    - Yveltal Ex 3x (XY Base 79)
    - Honchkrow 2-2 (Dragons Exalted 73)
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums:

  • [33]
    - Skyla 2x
    - Professor Juniper 4x
    - Crushing Hammer 3x
    - Ghetsis 2x
    - Team Flare Grunt 2x
    - Trick Shovel 4x
    - Red Card 4x
    - Muscle Band 2x
    - Professor's Letter 2x
    - Hypnotoxic Laser 4x
    - Virbank City Gym 1x
    - Ultraball 3x
Energy:
  • [11]
    - DCE 3x
    - Darkness Energy 8x

Strategy:

The Strategy is to get your Yveltal and Darkrai powerd up early in the game and constantly disrupt your enemy's strategy. Krookodile is there as an aggressive supporter to provide more crushing hammer effects. It has free retreat cost due to Darkrai if being provided with Darkness energy ( I thought about switching some of the Hammers with Float Stone as the amount of Energy is not too high in this deck).
Honchkrow, Trick Shovel, Red Card, Ghetsis, Team Flare Grunt and Crushing Hammer are the main tools for slowing your opponent's play down; unfortunately Red Card is counterintuitive to the use of N, which is why he is left out in this deck.
A serious problem this deck has to face are Seismitoed Ex and the lack of consistency in terms of card draw; still I had some good success with it in the few games I played with it so far.
Feedback and advice for what cards should be swapped are appreciated, while comments on how bad Red Card is and how unneccessary "pokemon x and trainer card y" are do not help me if they lack at least some constructive feedback.
As I said, this deck is not supposed to do oustandingly well, but I wanted to try out that discard mechanic as it can set your opponent back alot.

Thanks in advance for all answers :)
