Hello everyone! Journey Together is here, and with it, the world moves into the new post-rotation format. VSTARs and Vs are finally gone, and with them some of the format’s strongest archetypes. We’ve had a few articles now going over the post-rotation meta as a whole; if you haven’t taken a look at those yet, I strongly recommend doing so, because in today’s article, we’ll be taking on that meta. I'm confused about the Feraligatr matchup part... can Torrential Heart pump other Pokémon's damage?

With a single use of Feraligatr’s Torrential Heart, Budew actually OHKOs all of this deck’s Pokemon except for Milotic ex

Ability: Torrential Heart

Once during your turn, you may put 5 damage counters on this Pokémon. If you do, during this turn, attacks used by this Pokémon do 120 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).

How do you manage to transfer that effect from Feraligatr to Budew?

If you don't, then at most you get 10 x 2 for weakness = 20 damage + 30 x 2 from Munkidori = 80 damage total, hardly enough to OHKO any of the walls.

EDIT: Maybe it's meant as the April's Fools part of the article? ^^'

Hey, so yeah, that section is unfortunately completely wrong, that's my mistake. I seem to have somehow gotten stuck in my head a recent conversation of "What if Feraligatr was like Ludicolo" while writing that paragraph, and managed to ignore the part of my brain saying "this doesn't sound right, pretty sure it was easier than that". You do have to worry a bit about Croconaw + Munkodori moving off of other Feraligatr, as well as their Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex if they play it, but not so much about Budew aside from that nonexistent theoretical!
I apologize for the misinformation, and I'll be contacting my editor to see if that can be removed to prevent further confusion. Thank you for pointing it out!
