Before we establish a new policy and/or rules for hacks, it was decided that a poll should first be conducted. This is in order to see both how many active traders we have at this time and their views on hacked Pokemon. So if you could take a few seconds to do so, please answer the poll. If your specific circumstance isn't covered by the poll, PM me or post in this thread about it and it may be added. Think of this as a census of sorts. :)

Note: If you wish to remain anonymous for whatever reason, PM me and I'll change this to a private poll.

Edit: pokemon99 raised a good point, this poll is about your trading habits, not what you personally do to your game.

Personally I don't care about hacking as long as the person is Honest about it. (if it's cloned, caught illegally etc). Although I'm not really VGC COMPETITIVE so I probably care less than most

I don't trade hacked pokemon, but I'll accept them depending on the pokemon itself.

I'll sometimes trade cloned Pokemon, but I always make sure the other person knows first. I don't hack however.

When it comes to trading, I want to obtain pokemon that are unique or rare or have competitive qualities.

In order to collect such pokemon, I agree with cloning and hack checking with external devices. Any other permanent or altering effects on Pokemon deem them 'hacked' in my eyes.

Cloning is alright, as long as it doesn't flag my game. But I don't trade hacked Pokemon, nor do I trade with hackers. If I receive a hacked Pokemon, I say something and then turn around and remove that Pokemon from my game any way possible.

My option isn't on there.

I hate hacking (IV change's, EV changes, Encounter Codes, 100% Catch and the like)
I do however, believe that AR cloning, IV checks, EV checks, Fast Egg hatch's etc. should be allowed, as they are NOT messing / changing the pokemon, but speeding up / confirming what will already happen LEGITIMENTLY

Added, but the order I had (in order of hacking magnitude) was broken. Doesn't really matter, and so there's your option.

This poll itself will stay until tomorrow night. Then rules and/or a policy will be established.

The only thing I am fine with using an AR for are cloning, checking IVs, encounter rate, and fast egg hatch. I feel EVs and IVs should have to be done manually. Yes you may not have the time to get perfect IVs, but you wouldn't be able to use it at VGC anyway if you altered its IVs.

For me, I've hacked my diamond game to the roof before and I hated it with a passion. I personally condone all forms of hacking minus cloning

Do you believe that they should be able to be traded though?

I don't care what someone does to their game as long as the pokemon I receive is 100% legit.

I agree completely with dragonexpert and P99. If you ban hacking, cloning, hack checks, etc. Should be allowed.

Wouldn't it make sense to just go out and make a no hacking rule, and have members able to change THEIR specific requirements in their thread (Regarding to how strict they want to be)?

Anyone not following people's requirements would get banned?

Im A-Ok always with cloned Pokémon,as long as they dont have illegal movesets or some changes...By changes I mean that I sometimes trade Pokémon to people to clone them, and I wouldnt like that even a single move is missing. :/

Gleafeon, what you are talking about can have nothing to do with hacking. If the person simply goes to the move deleter (For example), that has nothing to do with them trading you a pokemon that had encounter codes used on it, or a stat altering code on it.

I believe it's "Tomorrow Night." Can a policy be established now or should we wait a little but more?

It's a good time to start making it now. Should be up by 7 P.M. EST. -Chariblaze
