First of all let me apologize if this is the wrong forum.
I've just gotten back into the game after a hiatus of many, many years. While doing some browsing on the internet, I noticed that Sneasel (I'm assuming the Neo Genesis one) was quickly banned from competitions. I also see Sneasel mentioned in a few card reviews on this website. My question is, what is so powerful about Sneasel? If it is true that it was banned, how is a combo made so good with it that it has no counter and such a drastic measure must be taken?
I used to run a few Sneasel in my decks way back when, because 60 HP and 0 retreat was a good staller basic, plus Beat Up ran at an average of 80 damage for 2 dark if you had a filled bench. I can see how it's a good card, but not unstoppable? With only 60 HP, it could be OHKO'd by plenty of things making it's 0 retreat cost worthless. I realize in modified format it's a moot point, but I really am curious about what combos people thought up with this card.
