okey im using altaria ex from emerald and im going against a metal pokemon with special energy...can i break through the defense of those energy or does it reduce my attack
It's not affected by anything, full stop. Things like DRE, Extra Smoke, and Delta Reduction (Meganium) are effects on Altaria EX, so they reduce it. But nothing else.
