Ruling Altaria PT

I have a few questions concerning Altaria:

1) Let's say you use Midnight Eyes, but for some reason the attack does no damage and does not put them asleep. Assuming they are put asleep by some other method the next turn, could you use Perish Song for a KO?
2) Now, let's say you have an Altaria active and an Altaria benched. Altaria A uses Midnight Eyes. They wake up and then KO Altaria A. Assuming they are put asleep by some other method the next turn, could you send up Altaria B and use Perish Song for a KO?

I believe:

1) No. You did not do damage, thus it won't work.

2) Yes. You did damage and they are asleep. KO!

I hope I am right or at least you get the right answer.

Just to clarify both questions.

1) If you read the Perish Song, it says "If the Defending is Asleep and was damaged OR affected by Midnight Eyes..." then it is KOd. The Defending Pokemon was neither damaged nor affected by Midnight Eyes last turn, thus not meeting the requirements of the attack in order for it to work.

2) Going back to the requirements of Perish Song, they were indeed affect by Midnight Eyes, and thus let's them get KOd

So if a pokemon with a -20 Colorless resistance with Unown G attached was attacked by Midnight Eyes, and then put to sleep on your next turn with Darkrai MD, it would not be KOed by Perish Song.

No beacuse they have an unknowng G attached so perish song would not affect them.

Pokekid Brandon is pretty much right. The Unown G prevents you from affecting the defending Pokemon, and the resistance makes it that you dealt no damage. So none of Perish Songs prerequisites have been met, therefore you cannot KO them. Also, if you DO affect/damage them, then they put an Unown G onto it, you can no longer KO them because Unown G prevents the effect.

That wasn't a question. I was stating that a pokemon that took no damage or effects from midnight eyes would not be KOed by Perish song, even if unown G was removed (somehow), and the defending pokemon was put to sleep.

but i said it would not affect them. How was I wrong. I know I left out the fact that unown G would prevent the KO by perish song anyway, but I was just making a point.

Ok then I must have misread and not seen the not. Ok you were correct. It would not be affected by perish song.

So #1=No and #2=Yes, and Unown G prevents Perish Song completely.
