ive had this idea since HS came out. and now with the new format i see the potential for awesome SO ON WITH THE COMBO

113-114-lugia-legend.jpg

man that attack is awesome...BUT HOW AN I SUPPOSED TO GET ALL THREE OF THOSE ENERGIES. they are just so random well heres where it gets interesting.

14-ampharos.jpg

so this is the secret. with 120 he can take a couple hits and you can just stack energy on lugia until it faints then OHKO with lugia over and over.

another idea that comes to me with ampharos is:

110-typhlosion.jpg

you have to discard the energies which sucks so getting fire energies back could help

i have a semi deck list since ive had this deck in mind for so long

2-2 Lugia legend
3-3-3 Ampharos
2-2-2 Typhlosion

4 Legend box
4 Energy search

4 Rainbow energy
(this will seem like alot...but its not)
4 {R}
4 {L}
4 {W}

good idea? ive thought of feraligatr also...but that will be alot to set up.

I honestly wouldn't use Typhlosion, I don't know if you've tested in this format yet, but you're pretty much just not gonna get out two stage 2s and a legend. Also, He doesn't even really help the deck that much, If I was you, I would just early game get out an Ampharos, attach an NRG, and use Acceleration bolt twice, then hard retreat/ throw down a switch and use Elemental Blast, and continue from there with Amphy as a bench tech.

I do, and my main attacker has a free retreat, have you seen how many people are running reversals?

EDIT: hey, my post count is also the current year.

^no.... lol. i never thought reversal would get popular. legends arnt to hard to get out with a good communication and then legend box

I'd take out 2-2 Lugia Legend, and put in 2-2 Deoxys/Rayquaza legend. Replace the four rainbow with four fire; the four water with 4 rescue. Done.

DRL has a better attack.

^sir....this deck is about OHKOing everything. i dont want to half kill somthing then for them to retreat and kill me with somthing else. AND RDL has 2 weaknesses...lugia only has one. nice try but you lost :p

T-Tar (which can't OHKO you either) and Wailord (which, really, isn't a threat) aren't OHKO-able by RDl =P

Anyways, catutie, your reasoning is flawed. You said this deck is to OHKO everything, but as I pointed out, RDl KO's almost everything and can survive another hit. Besides, with RDl, you simply have to setup an Emboar and you're good to go. With Lugia, in your case, you need Ampharos, Typhlosion, etc. If Ampharos gets KO'ed too soon, you need to quickly be able to reattach all of those Energy back to Lugia, whereas RDl can recharge and attack again during the same turn. On top of that, by the time Lugia does start getting prizes, RDl would've already given you a two or four prize lead. Two prizes per KO >>>>>> one prize per KO.

Lastly, while Lugia has less weaknesses than RDl, Lugia has a Lightning weakness. Zekrom wouldn't mind not having to play one PlusPower to KO Lugia. RDl has Psychic and Water. Psychic in an HS-on format is rare, and RDl has backup attackers to deal with its Colorless weakness.

Oh, and even if you do get enough Energy on to Lugia, you have to KO all of your opponent's Pokemon in six turns. That means Ampharos must last long enough to give Lugia six turns of 200 damage, which isn't dependable.

Are you really willing to invest two or three Ampharos into setting up? Ampharos' low damage output would allow your opponent to setup multiple lines by the time Lugia is ready to attack.

RDL does more damage then Lugia.
RDL has a better typing then Lugia
RDL has more HP then Lugia.
RDL be charged up w/ Emboar/Typhlosion via power/ability, not some bald sheeps attack.
RDL can take 2 prizes in one shot. Lugia cannot.
Using Typlo/Emboar, RDL can attack consecutive turns on a regular basis. Lugia can't.
RDL doesn't suck. Lugia does.

Owned.

RDL also lets your opponent draw two prizes when it gets knocked out.

But RDL is a better option than Lugia. Try out Lugia and see how you like it!
It may work

set up one ampharos. get 2 attacks out of it. which means 2-3 attacks out of a lugia, it goes down. then another ampharos is set up. stack energies on lugia. finish up with the second lugia/boufolant

i was running this when hgss came out. and its quite simple setting up 2 stage 2 pokemon in 2 turns.
just max out your basic pokemon finder, and rare candy, prof elms, poke comm, poke ball, and sage's training.

the use of legend box, junkarm, research records, and indigo plateu makes using legends quite viable
