Is having a tournament where you can only use POP cards a good idea?

Okay I wanted to post this and see what everyone's opinion is on it.
Does anyone think it would be a good idea to have a tournament where you can only use POP cards? I personally think it would be fun and the only cards you could use that aren't POP are
Duplicates of the cards(a MT rosey instead of POP 8 rosey)
Cards that have their stage two evolution ,but not prior ones(Shinx,Cranidos,Skull Fossil, Dome Fossil,Shieldon,Yamma, and Nosepass)
Then maybe cards that have basic printed but not the rest of their stages(like empo, but I think that changes the tournament too much).
Probably just a 40 card list because there are only 2 trainer cards and 1 one supporter.Just tell me what you think.
 
I am not sure if I mentioned but I didn't mean for a big tournament just like a little league tournament. Just for fun and amusement. I agree an actual tourney would be boring but just like a small one might be fun.
 
Maybe If you and your friends had just cashed in alot of pop packs, It may be less boring than usual If you play a match. Other than that, Unthinkable, unless If they have bigger pop sets, and start giving good cards like they used to.
 
Is there enough variety of cards in pop, to have different decks?
