DPPt/HGSS An idea for a new Pokemon League

In every POKEMON game the is the elite 4 which is cool and all, but in the next game that comes out I think it would be amazing and even more people would buy it if instead of the elite 4, it is like the tv series' which has a league[/size] TOURNAMENT. There could be like 64 competitors and each round is elimination or something like that(bracket pool). And since you don't battle the elite 4 you should still be able to battle them at certain points into the after winning the league. I think everybody would say this would make the next game way more exciting!

That sounds a lot like the Battle Dome or Crystal Colosseum in PBR actually – I don't know if the experience would differ that much from the Battle Tower/Subway if NPC bracket-wins/losses were determined randomly, but if you had a large enough pool of computer teams it'd could be spectacularly huge nonetheless. Multiplayer in that style would be insane, but I guess it'll take a while before handheld technology can catch up, that ability (i.e. 64 players) is still relatively new to consoles right now…
