If were debating them if I do say so myself 2 weeks is better for many reasons. Like the interest of the contest, voters may be waiting to vote and after the three weeks they will lose interest. And this challenges them to create the story like the word limit. But honestly it shouldn't take that long to write a 3000 or less story. 3 weeks? I think even that is a bit much.
I say 3 weeks is fine. People have lives and maybe someone is really serious about this and wants to take their time with this. Give people their time, I don't think hastiness will actually make the writing piece better, but it would actually make it look rushed and probably not as good as it would have been with a stretchier time span.
Looks like this months winner is PMJ! I would like to congratulate every person (particularly PMJ, Fridge and D.Dauntless) who entered this though, because each entry was awesome and I really hope to see more submissions of this quality in future competitions.
The next competition will be up shortly! I will start it today instead of waiting for Monday, 'cause I'm impatient.
