Hi Pokébeach, I created this thread to discuss Animal Crossing: New Leaf, post what you think about the game, if your getting it, getting the 3ds xl bundle, if you like it , if you hate it (HATERS!), or anything about the game... so yeah, just post what you think about it :D.... and you can also exchange your friend codes here :D
 
All I can say until this weekend is I can't wait for Sunday a little after midnight because after that, this game will officially take over my life.

I'm getting the exclusive 3DS XL shipped so I could guarantee I received it...I'm going to get it a few days after everybody else, but that's a small price to pay, methinks.

But I'm ALL over all of this--we can exchange friend codes or whatever (shut up I'm a shut-in and I don't know if the handhelds still use friend codes bettttttryg) and visit each others' towns.
 
Aww. I had this big "Animal Crossing Series" topic in WordPad and everything, but forgot to post it last night. Oh well.

We should all trade Friend Codes. Even though I won't be playing online immediately or very often, it'd be nice to get everyone added early. (Maybe stick a Master List in the first post with people's codes who own the game?)

Edit: Well that was a derp move. Forgot to put my own code lolz. 5026-4434-0850. Mii name is Chris.

BTW does anybody know if this special 3DS XL is going to be limited edition like the pikachu one?

I'd contribute my friend code, but since I'm getting the Poptart, I can't exactly do that at the moment...

...anybody know anything about grass deterioration?

Don't you hate getting dates wrong? Once thought a game came out four months later... When it turns out it was coming in a week or something like that. Thank goodness I had the money saved, otherwise I would have freaked out. xD

Are you doing a Data Transfer? If so your code, friends list, etc., goes along with it.

As for grass deterioration, it's still here. But everyone I've heard from has said it's been toned waaaay down, and it recovers quicker as well. Apparently rain and snow also speed it along. To top it all off, it doesn't look like desert land anymore, looking more like natural deterioration! All-in-all, it sounds like it's been fixed. Which is awesome because it's a great idea, execution was just severely flawed.
 
I laaawv AC! I'm going to buy this game next week and then buy a 3DS XL next month...

Oh, really? Then I can have my friend code up by the end of the day.

Well, yeah, I know about the deterioration, but I wanted to know if anybody had ideas to cut down on it...
I heard that if you plant a tree, wait for it to fully grow, then chop it down with an axe, the grass under the stump will be good as new. Can anybody confirm this?
 
Within an hour after midnight, I had sold all of my store's copies of the game. I had to actually hunt for the game because some person during the daytime put all the new release titles that I had all set up for the week way up high without leaving any note where they were.
 
Just picked up a copy today before battleroads. Apparently they sold a bunch when they opened because my bro and I bought Target's last two.

Looking forward to playing this awesome game. :D
 
I downloaded it earlier today, and so far I've made my character's outfit look ridiculous and donated all of my fossils and fish to the museum rather than selling them for the money I need. :p
 
Okay so I played for 4 hours and 13 minutes today.

And I don't even have a house or mayoral duties yet.

I don't even know how, mang. It's like drugs. But not drugs.

It is the equivalence of gaming crack. So as close to drugs in gaming as you're gonna get lol.
