Oh yes. Time for Another Nuzlocke. I got a boxed Emerald last Christmas and played through that in the first half of the year for the first time (I still haven't finished it, too busy grinding). I wanted to do another Nuzlocke and since it is the logical next step after Red and Gold, why not? I'll be limited to my own luck in this run since I don't know this game nearly as well as the first generations. Let's rock. Sprites provided by pokecheck.
Read my finished Red Nuzlocke here.
Read my discontinued Gold Nuzlocke here.

Session #1:
Greener Grass
Greener Grass
To this day I have no idea why I got here in the back of a truck.
I pop out of the oddly dark load and right in front of my mother's gleaming face. Well here we are. I have no idea how a truck managed to get all the way through Hoenn but it's a new home. We enter, deal with the day/night mechanic, get some exposition and we're told to go to the house of our new friend, May.
After snooping around her bedroom she finally shows up in excitement and hopes we can be best friends. My name is 'PQLIA' by the way. I wasn't sure of the best place to write that in.
Anyways, I cartwheel out the building at an astronomical speed and find myself rescuing Birch as he is pursued by a Poochyena. At least this makes more sense than a Zigzagoon. While stealing various items from his bag he pleas for help and to use one of the three Pokemon he keeps with him. Why didn't he use them himself? I'm not here to answer the glaring potholes of Pokemon Emerald so I just went ahead and picked Mudkip. I named him Bill because wouldn't you?
VS
The fight went as well as you would expect. Tackle, Tackle, Tackle, Tackle, Tackle. Win.
The Poochyena jettisons off into space as Birch thanks me and continues to do so until we reach his laboratory. He tells me I can keep Bill as long as I...err do something I was kind of skipping the dialogue here. I swagger up the main routes, encountering some Poochyena that were sacrificed for glorious experience. More experience for the experience god. I met May staring blankly at a tree until I bothered her and we had a fairly close battle.
VS
Bill was at half health and missed with a Tackle to boot. Treeko would have pulverized the poor fish if he hadn't got a critical hit. Treeko was obliterated. I feel good cheating the emotionless, stationary video game the way it does me. It makes fills one of the many holes in my being.
May and I jet ski back to the lab and pick up our Pokedex while guitar riffing. She throws some balls at me at somersaults through the roof. How I aspire to be as rad as her. Now that we have PokeBalls and access to some exclusive patches of grass we can go catch our first Pokemon.

Kind of a Boring Opening to the Game
Kind of a Boring Opening to the Game
I mean, if we're honest.
VS
The Poochyena stared me down. He knew he couldn’t win, so a swift beating and a PokeBall later I caught my first Pokemon. His name? ‘Do6’. I put him in the PC since, despite me liking Poochyena and Mightyena a lot, there were going to be much better dark type Pokemon on the way.
In hindsight as I write this I do have a Game Over rule so maybe that was a little dumb.
Nevertheless Bill and I trucked onward to glory. We made it to the next town and accidentally talked to the guy who shows us the gym three times while going to different places around town. By coincidence the gym belonged to my father so I poked my mug right in to check what’s going on.
We talked and Wally here wants a Pokemon. He takes the Zigzagoon and bores the hell out of me with his competitive newbie aura. He throws the PokeBall with the force of a hundred apes and catches the Ralts.
We return and I didn’t pay any attention to the conversation so I left in high spirits with Bill not far behind. The next route had something in store for us!
VS
Anyway Bill decimates a few trainers, ending their future career aspects, and moves on to the front of the Petalburg Woods.

Another Poochyena! Maybe it was an omen. *Possible foreshadowing?*

Session #3:
The Whole Forest is out to Get Me
The Whole Forest is out to Get Me
Nuzlocke adds to that which should already be in a Pokemon game.
I dash into the woods in hope of finding the pre-evolution to one of my favourite Pokemon from Hoenn: Shroomish. To my surprise, I find level 6 Shroomish waiting for me to punch it in the face and cram it into a container. BRILLIANT.
VS
I was a little concerned since Bill was crazy weak to Absorb but the wild Shroomish used it a limited number of times and he was soon caught. I named him ‘MUSHYMoo ,’ just to be as awkward as possible. I heal him up and set him first in the party for some juicy experience points.
Straight away I find a Slakoth. I don’t know which would be the more useful but I know which is the most annoying. He Yawned then scratched MUSHYMoo , and succumbed to its Spores and fell asleep. What an exhilarating game I must say. We both woke up at the same time for me to Absorb and finally finish him off.
The next fight was a Wurmple that almost knocked out Shroomish. Poison Sting did half health and Poisoned. Bill took care of it though, levelled MUSHYMoo , to Lv. 7 and learned himself Stun Spore.
VS
Finally I come to the Aqua fight and it wasn’t any easier. Shroomish took 3 turns to land a Stun Spore while being at the mercy of the same amount of Sand-Attacks and Howls. It was hit and misses but I was eventually forced to switch to Bill and finish the fight.
The business man was ever so distraught about what was going on in the neighbouring town that I just had to see for myself.
I did a roly-poly through the forest and come out onto Route 104 where I faced a barrage of trainers where I actually had to think about what I was doing. The game played a good super effective game against me. I actually felt challenged and good when I saw that my Pokemon had gained some good levels and moves from it. When there is the threat of a Game Over then the gameplay becomes much better. That didn’t stop me from jet boosting straight to the Pokemon Center to heal up and buying some more Potions though.

Gyms. Heists. Aquatic Themed Criminal Organizations.
Gyms. Heists. Aquatic Themed Criminal Organizations.
Would have updated yesterday but I have nothing to do while I cook food.
I walked out the Pokemon Center and headed straight towards the Gym. I didn’t think this would be too difficult. A Grass type and a Water type around the correct level to take on a Rock gym. I entered thinking that I would be able to walk out within 5 minutes with a shiny new badge and the next portion of the game. I went well until I encountered Roxanne.
VS
As you would expect, Bill gunned down the Geodudes to catch up on the experience and levels that MUSHYMoo , had excelled in. Just before the level 15 mark she threw out a Nosepass and resisted two or three water guns. I had to switch out to MUSHYMoo , before Bill had crossed out eyes and that gave him another level.
She conceded defeat to my glorious and handsome teammates and passed the badge to me along with an optical disk that contained data for Rock Tomb (I think).
Moonwalking out of the gym and down the street the eyes in the back of my head witnessed a robbery and the Devon employee had to ask me for help once again. Happy to help, in search of new Pokemon and experience, I accepted and crawled to the next route.
The second I stepped out of town a Nincada assaulted me, forcing me to throw Bill into its face. While in the process of battling I considered the possibilities of evolutions. I was torn between a Shedinja and Ninjask and since I actually have readers and PB is real and I’m not a rambling psychopath, I’ll let you guys decide. He was caught pretty easily and I used the whole switch tactic to get him a few levels. Nickname? GOLDSALMON. I would have been pretty bummed if I found a Whismur out here considering the cave is full of them.
I land swam into the cave and instantly found, punched and caught a Whismur. I forgot to name it, out of habit, so I put it in the box as soon as I got back to town.
Don’t forget peeps. Shedinja or Ninjask?

Session #5:
Sailin' to the Fists
Sailin' to the Fists
Pooch-ee-ena? Pooch-eye-eena? Poochy-na? Whatever.
I entered the cave as hazy as it was and surprise, surprise I found a Whismur. I punched it and caught it, no worries. Looking onward I see another Team Aqua member wrestling with a Wingull. Wondering just what was going on I danced over to him and challenged him to a battle. It’s how people socialize in the Pokemon world apparently. He throws out a Mightyena and a little reminder on the internet informed me that Bug beats Dark. Leech Life kept me afloat while his health whittled down and he was defeated.
The Aqua member melted into a liquid substance and I walked out with a Wingull on my arm. An old man snatched the Wingull exclaiming that it was his and ran off shouting
“Trade you this Wingull for ma boat!”
I thought it was a good deal but I do like Pelistorms.
I headed back to town, healed up and met May at the entrance. We agreed to have a warm up battle and we had a jolly ol’ duel.
VS
Since a single Wing Attack would rip GOLDSALMON to shreds I let Bill handle Wingull with a few Tackles. Soon enough Treeko was forced out and I could steady my victory and well placed experience with Leech Life. After a friendly match she registered me in the PokeNav (Oh yeah, that happened. Sorry about that!).
I took a rocket to get to that house on the pier and sailed the boat all the way to the Fighting gym.

Session #6:
Friend and or Foe?
Friend and or Foe?
Not this guy again.
Stepping from the boat I find myself upon the beaches of a new town. I heal my Pokemon and head up to Granite cave in hopes of secrets and treasures. Some worthless trainers at the start gave me no trouble so I essentially wondered right in. A man at the start alerted me to the dark paths ahead and hands me HM05. I needed to beat the gym in order to use it outside of battle but I don’t particularly need the HM either, I could feel my way around or look up a map but I headed back anyway to call out Brawly in his...very dark gym. You’d think a Fighting type would want to see where he is punching and leave the darkness to...Dark or something.
VS
Nevertheless I continued forth bumping into random trainers along the way. One by one I lit up the darkness and walked right into Brawly. Bill reached level 17 while fighting so of course he evolved and learned Mud Shot. I was a little nervous considering Brawly, ever since I first got Ruby, always wiped my entire team out a couple times. Brawly and Whitney seem to be the source of great pain in my Nuzlockes.
I flailed into battle and Bill was the first to see his Machop. He attempted to take everyone out by preparing a couple Bulk Ups but eventually fell to a couple Mud Shots. Meditite attempted his Focus Punch spam but constant Water Guns put a bad AI to sleep. Finally, the Makuhita dealt some hefty damage but Bill did the same in the first turn and got the third to himself. Brawly was out and I could breathe knowing that my Nuzlocke isn’t in immediate danger.
I was given the Knuckle badge and the Bulk Up TM along with permission to use Flash. My feet were instantly magnetized to Granite Cave, but I managed to get the Pokemon Center first, and I couldn’t help myself from giving it some jazz hands on the way there. Time to deliver some goods.
I stumbled half way through the lit corridor and who do I bump into?

Session #7:
The Beach of Destruction
The Beach of Destruction
All's Well That Ends Well!
Already several steps of whatever anyone says in the thread I catch the young Zubat and name it...oh...I-I critted it...I...I landed a critical hit...
I stand there, looking at the beaten corpse of a Zubat, and think to myself whether I will get another chance to catch and raise one of these. Well moving on, I can’t remember what challenges I faced in this cave so I’ll skip straight the dark looming cave and get straight to Steven.
He talks to me, I forget what he contains too, and I use my Escape Rope to finally get done with this island. I hop on the boat and sail East towards Slateport with Bill, MUSHYMoo ,, and GOLDSALMON at my feet.
I step onto the beach and immediately there is a problem. In the first fight I realized that I didn't heal and so I need to use my tactical mind wisely. It was like Normandy. Death surrounded me but my Potions carried me through until I got to the Soda Pop shack. Seeking refuge, I reach my hand out to the trainers but they met my gasps for help with more pain and anguish. I finally get through every trainer, not easily if you hadn't guessed, and crawl to the Pokemon Center.
A quick look around the town I see that there is no Gym but a lot of Team Aqua members and they seem to be gathered around the museum. Before any plot nonsense I go straight to Route 103 to see what new species I can obtain.
An Electrike returns my gaze but I throw mud in its stupid face along with a Great Ball. I’ll name him Sparky. We need more normal names. I return after seeing more Aqua members up the road so I return. I honestly don’t remember how I got in but before I knew it I was delivering the Devon Goods to the scientist in the Museum and battling the Aqua gang.
Some quick wins and stealing a TM later I found myself heading north to some more easy battles. Or so I thought...

Session #8:
Pokemon Tactics Advance
Pokemon Tactics Advance
YA BLEW IT!
I walked further down and met May in the grass. She challenged me to a battle and I thought myself fortunate that I remembered to heal.
VS
This fight wasn't easy. I had to pull out all sorts of tactics to beat down that Grovyle. This run would be so much easier with a Torchic. The Wingull was swapped out with Grovyle and when it did, I had to swap Nincada out with Shroomish. I had Shroomish Stun Spore and Flash until the Grovyle could barely stand. Since Mega Drain did hardly anything I switched to Nincada and Leech Seeded until victory. The rest went down as soon as Bill was freed from the threat of Grovyle. I am not looking forward to the next May fight.
I played about an hour ahead and nothing really interesting happened so instead of writing a normal update I'll give you guys the highlights of what happened and we'll get back on track next time.
Caught an Oddish and named it SR accidentally. It's a girl.
Epic battle between GOLDSALMON and a trainer's Shroomish. He would not let go and we traded Mega Drains and Leech Lifes. I had to take Nincada out and put Bill in which really got to me. He screwed me over, I thought a Mud Shot would be enough but he shattered Bill with two Mega Drains and so I swapped to Sparky before he died. We exchanged paralysis, after which I changed to MUSHYMoo ,. After 5 Mega Drains the thing fell and I kicked it into the ocean, hoping never to see it again.
This specific Shroomish was the only Pokemon I have had a personal grudge against. This guy sucks. This was just gonna be a highlight but when I was taking notes this guy just wouldn't go down.
On the way back, I accidentally bumped into another double battle where Marshtomp was on shotted by a Roselia.
After another long fight with another grass type my big hitter was down, all my money was gone and all my potions were used. I was broken.

Session #8.5:
Time to Evolve
Time to Evolve
I played ahead for another amount of time, clearing up the trainers in the area and searching the grass. Eventually I was back up to speed and my Pokemon were keeping up.
MUSHYMoo, had reached level 26 and evolved into a Breloom.
Nincada is level 24 and split himself into a Ninjask and Shedinja.
Sparky climbed himself to level 21 finally learning Shock Wave and Spark.
That also means I beat the gym without any real problems but this also means I desperately needed Bill since he would have been invaluable in what to come and what came next.
On my travels I also caught a Ludicolo nicknamed BOCKLERy, a Torkoal named SmokeyOats, a Numel and a Slugma. SmokeyOats found himself in my party pretty quickly because Torkoal are cool.
I went to go grab the Old Rod to search for a water type.
Tune in soon for the battles with Team Magma and my brand new party!

Session #9:
An Explosive Battle
An Explosive Battle
I don't really get why the Meteorite sets of a volcano but whatever.
I returned to Dewford briefly to go grab the Old Rod from an old Magikarp trainer. Can you guess what I caught? Two Magikarp from the coast and outskirts of Dewford came into my possession nicknamed Blimp707 and Blimp708. I grinded Blimp707 up to level 14 until I simply didn't have the energy to go on and continued with the main game. I ascended the cable car into a battlefield of fireballs and attacking beasts. I saw the leader of Team Magma pushing a big water cooler with a meteorite into a volcano. I stood there looking a little confused until some Magma members ran up to me and started fighting.
Eventually I made my way to the leader mumbling to himself about creating more land. I stood behind him and he soon noticed me. He stopped pushing the tank of water with a rock on it and we began in a duel which admittedly is in a pretty cool place.
VS
I didn't bother putting Blimp707 out first considering important battles in Emerald can wreck you so MUSHYMoo , was able to take out the Mighyena after a few uses of Bulk Ups and a Mach Punch. With this I was also able to one shot the Camerupt. Sparky was able to annihilate his Zubat and the fight was as good as over.
He spun some webs and swung away like Spider-man, as did the rest of Team Magma. I took the Meteorite and made my way down the hill which opened up.
The first Pokemon I encountered was a Machop but since I needed to trade to get the best out of it I sacrificed it for experience. Finally I reached Verdanturf and healed up in time for the fourth gym.

Session #10:
Type Advantage Shame
Type Advantage Shame
Well...not really but you get the picture.
I eventually arrive at Verdanturf, a small little colony hidden in the mountain. I take the time to heal and stock up on a few things before turning my attention to the fourth gym. The haze made it hard to see where to go and the trainers made me forget where I had been. Soon through the process of elimination I found the correct way. However, this is still a fire gym. Ninjask fell before we reached Flannery...not very honorably, he got one shotted by a Numel. I had to get Blimp707 to evolve which meant more grinding.
I went around the available Hoenn map churning out a few levels for Blimp707 and the rest of the team. On the way I cleared the scattered trainers left in the routes and realising what great Pokemon passed me by. Swablu, Seviper and Spoink all could have proved incredibly useful in the events to come. Nevertheless I took a break in the casino spending many a night pulling down that lever to reveal repeats, triple 7s and more. Eventually I gained enough coins to purchase Ice Beam, which was taught to Blimp707, and Flamethrower, taught to SmokeyOats. I swagged my stuff over to Verdanturf once again and JoJo posed towards Flannery. Her stuttering did not deter my attention away from her aura of Pokemon training...yeah.
VS
Blimp707 (oh yeah, he evolved by the way) was brave enough to go first and face the Numel. Its AI didn't Overheat since it wouldn't be effective and Magnitude didn't effect him so all he could do was Sunny Day and Take Down injuring himself in the process. Perseverance with Ice Beam and self hurt fell the Numel quickly. Slugma approached me next and annoyed my party with Light Screen. Soon though Blimp707 with the aid of a few potions made it through. What came next came as quite a shock. Camerupt and Torkoal know attract which really...REALLY annoyed me. Whitney almost wipes me out every time I fight her and it's usually because of attract. I didn't think Flannery would be much different. Luckily with a few potions Blimp707 once again powered through the condition and fell Camerupt. Enough of this slow fight I threw out MUSHYMoo to Bulk Up and Mach punch the Torkoal because I could.
MISSION COMPLETE.
Flannery said something and threw the TM out the window, which I later had to retrieve, and tried to eat the badge before I stole it from her and left post haste.

Session #11:
Into the Wastes
Into the Wastes
Pfft. Water Cycle. What about the Land Cycle? Where land is evaporated and rains from the sky.
I walk out of the gym looking side to side for that TM when I bump into May once again. She congratulates me on the badge collection and hands me the Go-Goggles as a reward. Excited that I can finally enter the hellish wastes of the east I move on down to Route 110.
I hoped to bag a Trapinch when I entered the Mirage Tower but instead I found a Sandshrew. It was caught and to my surprise it was holding a Quick Claw and named _______. Following my good fortune I found a Baltoy in the sandstorm and named it DNA because I want a Claydol in my final party. With the right bike and destroying every trainer's dreams I ascended the Mirage Tower to arrive before two fossils. After some careful deliberation I decided to take the Claw fossil for some hot Armaldo action. As soon as it was stolen from the tower's grasp a large boot on a stick kicked me from the summit and the tower disappeared, along with the other fossil, into the sands. After these events I got the urge that everyone else did when playing this game
"Time to fight my dad!"
I dance back towards where my adventure first started, through the woods and into civilization. Not knowing what to expect I entered the gym, after healing and stocking potions, with bated breath. First of all I entered the left room oblivious to the speed sign on the door. There I meet a trainer with a Swellow and DNA took it down pretty quickly with Rock Tomb. I studied the next signs. "Strength Room" uh-huh...and the other? "O-HKO Room" HAHA NOPE! BACK TO THE STRENGTH ROOM.
There I meet a trainer with a Zangoose and MUSHYMoo , finished the fight with ease. Thirdly the Wigglytuff guarded the Defense room but DNA took down the soon to be fairy type and learned Ancientrock in the process.
Finally I faced my in-game father and 5th gym leader, Norman.
VS
I can't really extend the description of this fight longer than I have.
MUSHYMoo , Bulk Up x3. MUSHYMoo , Mach Punch x4.
Falling to his knees in utter defeat an anguish, that his own son within a days worth of playtime managed to destroy everything he built up from scratch, he handed me the badge and some kind of stupid tm but while I tried to dig my way out with a spoon Wally's father came in. We walked back to the house and he handed me HM03. I lobbed the disk onto Blimp707's horn thing and swam out the house.
Sparky was close to level 26 so one or two wild battles later we got him to evolve!

Session #11.5
Where am I?
Pokemon Y is taking up WAY too much of my time. I got a shiny Scraggy though ;D
I wake up with the sun blasting my eyes. It takes a few moments for me to recognize where I am. I'm in the middle of the ocean sitting on Blimp707. My beard is coarse and damp. It has been bleached grey from the salty air. I can pull tiny Remoraid from the side of my trusting Gyarados. I see plots of land on the horizon and people swimming close by. Why they didn't help for the months that I was out is beyond me. I check my trainer card. Still five badges. No new major progress it seems. DNA is now Lv25. Sparky, now a Manectric is Lv27. After reuniting with my friends I pull out my map. Looks like I am in between Dewford and Slateport. Looks like there is nothing to do here so let's shave this rough and head North to the next badge! after grinding

Wattson's Problems
Wattson's Problems
Mach Punch OP
I break away from the mindless efforts of Masuda Method in Pokemon Y and few fights through the ocean I end up at Mauvile after restocking on goods. I find Wattson in the middle of the town asking forchange a young trainer to go into the secret Illuminati-esque sub city basement of New Mauville.
Strange how this secret bunker is in the middle of a small lake under a bicycle path. I doubt that would be good for tourism. Anyhow, the first thing I see is a Voltorb charging right at me so a little Ancient Power to the face from DNA and it's caught. I would have much preferred the Magnemite that came next but that's Nuzlocke. They continue to badger me and I keep killing them hoping to get rid of that tempting Selfdestruction in my bottom right move slot or to evolve as soon as possible. I end up switching the generator off through an uncouth method to say the least and grab the Thunderstone as I am spinning out the building or...city or wherever I am because this is clearly not an underground place like I was promised.
Wattson, still in the middle of the street, thanks me for that minor side quest and with his hobo money buys me the fancy Thunderbolt TM. I teach it to Sparky forgetting that TMs aren't infinite and started making my way to Fortree City.

Weather Institute
Weather Institute
Gary Married Larry and his Gyarados Parried and Carried 400 Salaries
I step off of the Route 10 to a brawly fisherman lookin' faw eh foight and shortly after I meet Steven. He spouts that general mid game champion meeting stuff at me and I continue to see the first Pokemon of Route 18. A Lv26 Linoone appears from the grass. It tries to Sand-Attack but SmokeyOats' White Smoke laughs it off and I burn its face enough for a Great Ball to add it to my Pokedex. He shall be known as Slinky. I stroll north into Route 119 and dive into the tall grass where I slap an Oddish out of the way.
And there isn't really much to comment on other than an outburst of trainers forced fed my pets experience and stole my Super Potions. But sure enough as I am typing this I see Team Aqua come into view outside a thing. I talk to one of them and he shouts at me for something and tells me not to go into the Weather Institute.
I enter the Weather Institute and naturally, I think nap time. Interesting how these buildings have accommodation right next to where they work. Moving on I saw this as a good opportunity to turn Sparky into the next legendary Pokemon and let him have most of the experience. It's not as though there was much to be had however. A few water types and a Zubat and that was my lot. Thunderbolt took care of everything. It would be nice to get everything to Lv30 by the time I left but Blimp707 seems to be pulling as much weight and sucking up as much experience as it did back when it was a brainless shell of organs. Nevertheless Sparky and DNA were holding the fort down fine and making great use out of their battle time.
Eventually I approach the final thug of the place and brush her aside as easily as I did with the rest. I haven't used sprites in a while because this game isn't very good at pacing itself. Teams that have a lot of weaknesses to a lot of things isn't the best choice of type to pick when you intend to change the entire world's geography against its will. Ah well. Some more ridiculous commotion outside and we nab our Castform. I named it WeathRep in reference to two things* and set off outside.
*10 Points to whoever guesses the obscure one.
What really intrigues me is that the scientist said they have a lot more of them. Yeah thanks I got a weather balloon for my troubles. Grand.

Something About a Forest
Something About a Forest
You'd think since I stopped playing Y that I would be able to do more but I just started a new game on Hard in Fire Emblem and it's kickng my ass.
I exit the building and before I could even start making notes May rides up to me and challenges me to a battle. Luckily I just healed and she only has three Pokemon.
VS
Sparky took care of the Slugma and Lombre just fine and SmokeyOats mopped up the Grovyle. That was a lot less tense than the-oh my god HM02.
Scott came up to me but I was too distracted by the blue disk. Though I did catch his description of May after the fight. I liked it when Pokemon games slipped in some subtlety here and then. It's about now I realise that Blimp707 really needs some levels. He is currently seven levels behind Breloom. However sure enough I finnd Fortree City before he even gets to fight and I take a moment to stroll around town.
Have I been to the big shopping place in Hoenn yet? I can't remember. I don't even remember if there is one. After wondering around incredibly poorly designed city, strcuturally and digitally, I find absolutely nothing interesting so I head straight to the Gym. I...can't imagine this being hard.

Athena you're not getting first likes anymore, pick up the pace.
Athena you're not getting first likes anymore, pick up the pace.
After finishing the last update I did obtain TM10 from some random person. So this place isn't so bad. Oh wait it's Hidden Power nevermind this town sucks.
I walk down to the gym and oddly I find an invisible barrier. Unable to find a way past it I dive straight into Route 120. I see a Pokeball and stroll to it but another invisible presence is blocking me. Before I knew it I was staring at another damn Oddish. I incinerate its soul (after it poisons me) and continue my investigation.
Further on while running across a bridge I notice Steven so I nope backwards to heal my Pokes before talking to him. He tells me of the invisible objects and shows me the Devon Scope. However I do notice Devon was crudely written over something but I couldn't make it out before a rampaging naked Kecleon ran towards me with a spoon.
As the silhouette passes me I could have sworn it was a shiny but this was not the case. It critted me and turned itself into a fire type at the same time. I switched to Blimp707 for an easy capture. Nicknamed 6IVProtean the Kecleon makes her home in the Glorious PC. I head onwards to see that it's raining and I'm all like "rly gurl?" and moonwalk back through the grass only to see:
Instead of an Absol I got an Oddish.
In my fury I exploded the invisible Kecleon without the need for the "Devon" Scope. And crushed the Pokeball...that contained a...Nest Ball and Halo jumped into the Fortree City gym screaming "WINONA!" as I broke through the roof.

Crikey I Thought I Already Wrote This Update
Crikey I Thought I Already Wrote This Update
Turns out I deleted the text document. That was a real heated battle worthy of the build up and I can't remember a single turn.
After beating Winona...I guess...I head to the swamp to fight the next. The first Pokemon I find amongst the strangely arranged trainers is another Oddish. This is a new route if I recall correctly but SR is more than good enough for me. May he turn into a beautiful Vielplume some day. Moving on I set the thing ablaze and approach the next set of trainers.
VS
This guy. This...guy. Good lord. I thought DNA would be fine up front but apparently this Lombre is the king of Lombre. He does a good amount of damage with Nature Power and seems to have an unlimited supply of Full Restores. MUSHymoo , had to step in and take execute control. I almost lost DNA to a normie. Nuzleaf of course proved no problem to the towering...armless Breloom.
Continuing on with no real challenge or excitement I rest up at Lilycove.
...yeah this would have been way better with the Winona fight. Instead you get Baltoy and Breloom vs Lombre. Sorry about that.
