Arceus Counter

Mewtwo is not that great of an Arceus counter...they'll just use the Water Arceus's attack from the Psychic Arceus Leveled Up to deal double the damage...Machamp I guess could be lumped with Mewtwo (they'll again use the Psychic Arceus). Dialga G Lv.X, I think is the best counter ever. It locks the Bodies, making Leveling Up useless. Once you take out the slow threats, they'll have nothing. Deafen can also stop the Ultimate Zone from being played, although counter Stadiums work too.

dmaster out.

If they have the lv x on them can machamp still take them down? anyway. i was thinking gengar x to level down and just curse drop and compound pain a couple times and they are all dead. arceuses arnt good without the lv x's.

Yes Machamp can, as long as the Pokemon the Lv. X "Leveled Up" from is a basic.

I don't think I have seen many techs against Arceus. The only two that I have ever seen are Machamp Sf and, as dmaster stated, Dialga G Lv. X. I will keep my eyes out though. I have never seen Luxtwo's idea before, but I see how that can work.

An Umbreon UD can lock up any non-X'd Arceus, and running something with enough power to OHKO an Arceus without much harm to itself in return can also hurt it.
But yes, for already-stated reasons, DGX is the best Arceus counter. Just watch out for Bright Flame. (Gengar LV.X can help a tiny bit, but it involves a stage 2 line, so don't use it unless you're already running Gengar or a Psychic deck.)

As an experienced Arceus player, I can say that none of these actually stop me as easily and effectively as you may think. Exploud sounds interesting, and I haven't ran into it before, but Sky Spear will help get rid of it when on the bench and if it's active at any time at any stage then that makes things a lot easier. Just wondering, why exactly do you need an Arceus counter?

But is it that popular? Wouldn't you rather counter LuxChomp or something if you're going to counter anything?

I already counter luxchomp... I run into arceus now and then and get jacked up. But I think its just my playing style... not my deck. I know how to play it now - thanks for the advice everyone.
