BW/BW2 Are Black and White 1 still worth playing, even after playing the sequels?

If I have Pokemon black2/white 2 should I go back and get Pokemon Black/White?

RE: 5th Gen Games

I say go for it. BW2 isn't like your typical third game, you don't get everything BW1 has plus more, it's a different experience. BW2 has a different storyline, plus is missing several Pokemon and areas, plus you can unlock extra content in BW2 by using Memory Link to carry over data from your BW1 file.

Honestly, I don't think so, but I've played both - you're better off asking someone who played 2 first then bought 1.

I have White 1 and don't have the others yet. From what I have been seeing you need to have both of each versions. B/W 1 is the cake and B/W 2 is the icing on the cake so you need all four games to have it all. It is not like D?P and then Platinum to top it off and then some. B/W2 is basically just a topping to the original games XD. If you only have the 2nd games YOU BETTER GET the first games before you can no longer buy them. In a year B/W 1's will be hard to find just like the have done in the past. They slowly phase out the base games XD.:)

Thanks guys, I really needed that info. :D

In a word, no. I personally liked them, but the sequels are far better. The only point in playing them now would be to activate memory mode in BW2, and that's just for a few skits that sum up what happened in the two years after the last games ended (from what I've seen).

What Apollo said.

If you care a lot about 100% the game you will need a Memory Link to pull that off, but if you don't, then you can go without. Since BW2 are out now, I wouldn't waste your money on getting BW1 if you don't have any 5th gen game at all.

I don't think you need all four if that's what you're saying, but aside from that, yeah, I agree. Between the two versions, Black and White only really have different Pokemon and slightly different themes for the areas. Black 2 and White 2 have those differences, but also some different route and dungeon layouts. If you care about the different areas, then go for both, but I don't think many people do.

I kind of liken Memory Mode to a link function in the Golden Sun games, wherein you could only unlock everything in The Lost Age via data transfer from GS1, because of that.

Yeah that works too but how often can you do the DW if you have all 4 games or one regular and one 2? Thanks XD.:)

The 1-hour-per-20-hours countdown is independent for each game. If you enter the Dream World on any of your games at any given time, none of your other games will be affected. You can play in the Dream World for each of your games for the full hour if you want.

I never had a 4th Gen pokemon game (and still don't) so I don't even know what DW does.
EDIT: I just click on DNA's Dream World Guide so NM

Oh ok. So if I have B/W 1 then I can do it on one version and for the rest just do the events XD. Cool. That works. If I do have time to do more than 1 version I will XD. Rarely do I have 2-4 hours at every day though but when I do I will do it though.:)

Unless you like messing around on the DW, it helps to learn how to budget your time on it. I usually just tend to the berry Garden and scour the Island of Dreams. It shouldn't take more than twenty to thirty minutes (per game) to play through it.

RE: Are Black and White 1 worth playing, even after the sequels?

I always utilize the full hour to get the best of the best points out of the DW. The most I got in one day was over 1,000 points. I watered all the berries got 5 friends and did over 30 mini games to pull it off. You have to be quick too. I have only done this once. I usually get around 700 points though.:)
