Are Fire decks too strong for Grass decks?

So I've been working on a Virizion/Genesect deck for a while now, but right as i started it, literally EVERYONE at my local card shop started working on either a Pyroar deck or a Charizard deck. Do y'all think I will have trouble with these new found fire frenzy?

The way my Virgen deck is set up I can get turn 2 G-Booster or Megelo Cannon hits, but the way its looking they are running their Charizard deck with the Stoke card for a turn 2 Fire Blast dealing 120 (240 to grass) and then a possible set up for Mega Charizard Y 300 (600 to me) their will be absolutely no way Genesect can take a hit like that.

Does Abomasnow solve this problem? Or is Raichu strong enough to counter this on his own? What do y'all think, can I salvage my littler VirGen (and no I couldn't resist on that haha).

A good player running a good Fire deck should give you concern (despite Pyroar). But, like matchups in general, there will be some that will just not be favorable for you. It's just like a Blastoise player having to play against you running your VirGen deck - not favorable for your opponent...

On the other hand, if you are concerned with just your local metagame, then you could tech is some W type Poke as a counter like Abomasnow which does fit and work well with the deck. I personally prefer Raichu as a tech in my VirGen deck which also has other advantages.

Try plasma frigate, if you are mostly facing fire decks. Then they have to use more resources to take out your pokemon. I can only assume you are running team plasma badge/colress machine with turn 2 megalo cannon.

Only thing I can think of is maybe adding some Rainbow/Prism energy with a couple Shadow Circle to negate the Weakness.
