Aromatisse/M Kangaskhan EX's Skeleton List:
Pokémon: 13
Good Additions:
I run the techy list and I play it like the old Shiftgear Klingklang.
I run:
2 Keldeo EX
2 Entei EX
2 Darkrai EX
1 Cobalion EX
1 Terrakion
1 Groudon EX
What I like about this deck is that a new player who are buying their first cards can have a good skeleton just by buying two theme decks.
Pokemon:
4 Xerneas
2-2: Slurpuff
2-2: Aromatisse
Trainers:
4 Tierno
2 Sycamore
2 Roller Skates
2 Fairy Garden
2 Super Potion
Energy:
10 Fairy
You got some support pokemon, energy acceleration, a stadium. a decent attacker, and some draw. I'd probably add in:
I also think Xerneas could be an alternative to Victini EX for decks can use fairy energy acceleration (that Dragonite deck comes to mind and maybe Stoutland for those wanting to try something different). It could also take advantage of the fairy garden stadium card to ease retreating.
Please keep in mind that you are to assume you have access to all cards.
I personally like Victini-EX over Entei because you can use Turbo Energize T1 if it just so happens to be Active. Intensifying Burn is really all you need against any Genesect/Virizion decks out there too.
Yeah, Enhanced is a big deal now. I wouldn't mind throwing one Fire in the deck seeing as how it rips through your plays.
I'd like to know if running Laserbank is good in Aromatisse/Xerneas decks, I think the 10/30 Damage is Huge. When combined with Xerneas EX, the only thing that survives is a Mega pokemon. I'd Like to try it, but I honestly am having the most difficult task of choosing what to take out and what to keep.
I don't run Virbank in my list cause that garden is crucial but I do run just 2 lasers because it sometimes helps to knock out those 130 hp Kyurem or Yveltals with my Muscle Banded Baby Xerneas during certain situations.
I'm currently testing a "fairy haymaker". It uses a lot of one energy attackers to deal quick damage and hit for weakness. With muscle band and a late game Iris, you could actually KO EX's for just one energy on a basic. The fairy part comes from Aromatisse moving energy around, but I realized the deck could possibly be strong without it.
Is LaserBank good or bad in the techy version of this deck? I've been playing without them (and doing just fine), but do they help at all? Sometimes I feel like they would only hinder as there are better cards to be put in the deck.
I run 2 virbanks and 4 lasers in my techy version and then instead of the fairy gardens I use darkrai for free retreat and I also have keldeo as well. I find lasers to be really helpful as it gives extra damage and can also block my opponents stadium, but yeah that's just my opinion . Hope this helps!
I'm playing a "fruit salad deck" with rainbow, plasma and prism energy. This is my pokemon list:
Sure here it is.
http://www.pokebeach.com/forums/thread-nxd-on-fairy-haymaker
Thundurus is the star here. He not only hits a lot of things for weakness, but if you have two of them out, you can get additional energy into play. I haven't tried it out too much and as it is now, I wouldn't recommend it (it needs a lot of tweaks). Also, Iris seems to work better on paper than it does in actual game play.
I have some of the weirdest luck with straight fairies. When I started the Xerneas/Mewtwo/Aromatisse/Bouffalant deck, all I faced were plasma decks. I got destroyed by Lugia before I even had the chance to set up. So to counter this, I added a 2/2 Drifblim line (plasma blast). I figured even against non plasma decks, they had decent enough attacks that could help in certain matchups (I especially like Drifloons 40 to the bench). That's when I started running into dark decks and despite the resistance, I still got destroyed. One game, I had both my Aromatisse prized and other games, I found myself not starting with Xerneas like I wanted to.
So I decided to go all out. 3/3 Aromatisse, 4 Xerneas and Mewtwo and Xerneas could serve as the main attackers. What deck did I play against? An Aromatech deck with frickin' plasma klang! The only thing that could touch my opponent was the Xerneas, but it could only do so much as an attacker and got destroyed by Cobalion and Registeel. And speaking of Registeel, that card made me pay for taking out my Mr Mime. You know you're in a bad matchup when you're actually considering attacking with Spritzee to set up a KO.
That's not to say straight fairies are bad. Xerneas EX is not a bad attacker against non EX's (though I find myself using breakthrough more often). Mewtwo really benefits since with the right set up, you can do as much damage as you need. And even baby Xerneas can get the job done against safeguard pokemon. But it seems like every time I take out a card I don't think I need, I end in a match where I wish I had that card.
^ Texas States? I was very impressed with the way that deck worked. Good stuff.
Na playtcg. Just testing deck ideas so fortunately nothing was on the line, but it was pretty funny.
And I'm actually considering testing that plasma klang/Aromatech deck. That was a pretty cool deck.
I'm currently testing Aromatisse / Klinklang and so far it has been amazing. I think it also won Texas states.
It did win. Two things I found interesting about the list is that it ran 0 Skyla and 0 Muscle Band.
I run:
For straight fairies, I've been testing a Registeel/Mewtwo/Bouffalant/Xerneas deck. The idea is to use Registeel or Xerneas (breakthrough) to soften up the bench and then finish things off with Bouffalant, Mewtwo, or Xerneas (X blast). On it's own, it would probably be a novice strategy, but with all the fairy tricks, it's pretty good. I just need to find room for catcher (or Lsyandre when it comes out) to snag those difficult KOs than it might be viable.
And I find that DCE is pretty good in these decks since they use a lot of colorless attackers. It's the same way DCE was good in Eels variants using Bouffalant and Mewtwo.
Here's the Pokemon lineup. (recently edited)
3 Xerneas (Geomancy)
2-2 Aromatisse
2 Mewtwo EX
1 Registeel
1 Bouffalant
3 Xerneas EX
1 Keldeo EX
Only problem is friggin' plasma. Lugia destroys this deck in a couple of hits. Mewtwo works, but then gets killed by Deoxys. The best thing I have for the deck is a couple of catcher to buy time while I set up.
Here's my lineup with Drifblim to deal with plasma:
3 Xerneas (Geomancy)
2-2 Aromatisse
3 Xerneas EX
2-2 Drifblim
1 Keldeo
I'll see how it works. I might also consider Wigglytuff (double edge) to deal with Pyroar, but for now Lugia is a much greater threat. It helps that the basic has a nice snipe attack for 40.
There are 2 upcoming cards that I think could be good counters to Pyroar.
Mega Kangaskhan EX: I think this could be a natural fit in the deck. For one, you don't have to run weak basics just to get out the evolution. Yeah, you have to run a basic, but it's a 180HP EX with a solid draw attack. It's also colorless, meaning you don't even have to run rainbow energy to satisfy the costs. When you do evolve, you have a 230HP tank with a solid attack. With max potion/aromatisse combos, you can keep this alive for a very long time. Well worth the turn you give up mega evolving. This could actually be our first semi-competitive deck using a mega evolution. Below is a link to a deck I thought of using Mega Kangaskhan EX.
http://www.pokebeach.com/forums/thread-future-mega-kangaskhan-fairy
Milotic (Wild Blaze): This is ideal for a very specific fairy deck type running only rainbow energy as the special energy (the rest basic fairy). The attack is (WCC) for a vanilla 60, but with weakness taken into account, it's a KO against Pyroar. Then there's the ability. Knock yourself out and accelerate 3 basic energy from your discard pile. You can't put them on EXes, but with Aromatisse moving the energy around, that's no problem. Again, a perfect answer to Pyroar while still being able to serve a purpose outside that matchup.
So I typically run 2 tool scrapper, but since I have yet to run into many Garbodor decks, tool scrapper ends up a dead card. So I go down to 1 to add another energy. What happens? I end up facing Garbodor 3 times in a row. *facepalm*

You got some support pokemon, energy acceleration, a stadium. a decent attacker, and some draw. I'd probably add in:
- 3-5 other strong basics (Bouffalant is effective and at least one good EX like Mewtwo)
- 6-8 more supporters or draw cards (Skyla, more Sycamore, and Shauna or N)
- 4-5 search cards (level ball and ultra ball)
- 6-10 other trainers (EXP share, Super Rod, Tool Scrapper, muscle band, more potions)
I also think Xerneas could be an alternative to Victini EX for decks can use fairy energy acceleration (that Dragonite deck comes to mind and maybe Stoutland for those wanting to try something different). It could also take advantage of the fairy garden stadium card to ease retreating.

I personally like Victini-EX over Entei because you can use Turbo Energize T1 if it just so happens to be Active. Intensifying Burn is really all you need against any Genesect/Virizion decks out there too.
I also prefer Victini EX because it only requires one fire. The main problem with the deck is keeping your special energy in play.Serperior said:I personally like Victini-EX over Entei because you can use Turbo Energize T1 if it just so happens to be Active. I can see your points about Victini over Entei; however, the reason I prefer Entei EX is that unless they G-booster you'll survive a retaliation attack from both a Genesect or Virizion. Where as with Victini it only takes a genesect/muscle band to return KO Victini EX. The other plus in Entei EX favor is his nice HP 180 is far bulkier then 110, and it gives you a chance to use max potion. Just a few things to consider when choosing your fire tech.Camoclone said:I also prefer Victini EX because it only requires one fire. Now the difference between 170 and 180 is HUGE. Let alone 110 and 180.Cortel II said:I can see your points about Victini over Entei; however, the reason I prefer Entei EX is that unless they G-booster you'll survive a retaliation attack from both a Genesect or Virizion. -
2 Thundurus EX (energy acceleration, and cheap but great damage against lugia/yveltal/empoleon)

2 Genesect EX( red signal, also the main attacker with g-booster)
1 Virizion EX (for special conditions)
1 Darkrai EX (free retreat)
1 Giratina EX (could be palkia, but i prefer a clean OHKO to dragons, also it works against "safeguarders" )
1 Yveltal EX
3-3 Aromatisse
