Arven's Mabostiff

Honestly, it's pretty boring. Other from hitting Gardevoir, you only KO Fezanbird for 3, which is too much when Dragapult can hit 200 for 2, AND can spread dmg counters, which you can use to KO the bird.

Cloyster, Scovillain, Toedscruel, and Garganacl, and looks like we're getting none of those...
it really would have only taken one of those being here and being interesting. a cloyster (ex?) with serious damage reduction to actually make a healing gimmick worthwhile comes to mind, i'm sure you could come up with something for garg (who would no doubt have a good HP pool due to being stage 2)

Not very good but I like what they were going for here. Arven and his Pokemon are always teaming up with the player, so it makes sense that his Pokemon use only colorless energy and his item somewhat works on other Pokemon. The 'Arven' archetype should be able to mesh with and, to some degree, work within all types of decks.

Much like several of the cards in Battle Partners, this feels like a good idea that just wasn't developed enough, assuming this is all there is

*** Greedent retrieves 2 Arven's Sandwiches from the discard pile, not 2 Arven's Pokemon. ***

I am extremely whelmed right now. The Mabostiff ex is somewhat salvageable, but it would need a lot of support to work. I’m a bit scared this really bad Greedent is all we’ll get in terms of abilities for the archetype; if that’s the case, this deck is dead on arrival

What did you expect? Not every archetype in the set was going to be good. Cynthia and Ethan look pretty good with Misty looking to have some potential. I didn't expect much from Arven. Plus Arven isn't exactly known for his battle prowess.

No Pokémon but Mabostiff was ever going to be the ex for Arven though.
