Which season is this? Is it 15 or 16? Have not watched for awhile because my videos are very leggy due to slow DSL and we can't get anything better so we are stuck with it XD. I have been watching on watchcartoonsonline.com and I forgot my other site but they are leggy also XD.:)

It's season 16.
Charizard will return in this upcoming Episode (Saturday CN)
Episode 19; The Fires of a Red Hot Reunion.

Sadly I won't be able to wath it yet.. but really nice to look forward to.

I saw "The Fires of a Red Hot Reunion" and I gotta say it's arguably the best episode of the current Pokemon Anime season to date If not the only redeeming factor of the current Pokemon Anime. The nostalgic flashbacks were really good especially with getting to see the Magikarp Salesman at the Kanto Fair as well as Tracey with Professor Oak, it was also cute seeing Charmander performing as well. :)

Then Ash decided to bring good ol' Charizard back replacing his Unfezant with it and the battle between Ash's Charizard and Iris's Dragonite was pretty good until N interrupted the match of course. It was cool that both Charizard and Dragonite are bud's as well after the battle, now I'm interested in seeing how Charizard's role will play out in the current Anime plot with Reshiram and Team Plasma.

Is Charizard going to be on Ash's team for the rest of the season? If so, now I can wishfully hope for the release of the Charizard 3DS XL in the US market. I want that thing so bad.

Looks like it, I'm pretty stoked about it. Makes me wonder If Ash will transfer more of his old Pokemon from previous regions he explored and If so I wouldn't mind Snorlax or Kingler. I wonder If Ash will ever come back for his Primeape in Kanto...

I was left with a very happy and content feeling after watching this episode. It was quite a refresher after a few of the recent ones. I love how they decided to tie back to Charizard, but my only criticism is that my nostalgic side kind of took a blow from this episode. Some of the flashbacks where they remastered the scenes of Charizard and Ash's history were altered, meaning they weren't EXACTLY what we saw all those years ago. It's fine, but it kind of put a twist on the perspective and was just a tiny bit disappointing, but I'm not really complaining. It was really good regardless. I probably would have preferred if they kept a remastered version of the original footage and just had Ash narrating over it the entire time.

I wouldn't have even minded if they used the raw original scenes, but I realize that's not possible at this point, unfortunately.
 
I think it is great that the anime developers have decided to bring back Charizard in the Anime. I always miss the old Pokémon in the newer series. Of course I understand that the new Pokémon have to get more air time in, but seeing the older ones is also very nice. I hope they will do it for more of Ash's Pokémon, especially the ones that still need to evolve. It was really great to see Primeape again too in the song, and I hope he makes an appearance in the actual anime as well!
 
I am outdated with the anime since i was disappointed with the Unova saga (To be fair, the Sinnoh saga. But Ash got pretty cool pokemons there). However this makes me want to watch the anime again.

Would i miss much if i skyp the Unova saga?

Could you clarify your sentence? You can't really be disappointed with Unova if you haven't watched it (in which case skipping it doesn't apply). If you liked this episode, then you would want to watch Unova, if anything. The only thing with that though, is that this particular episode isn't an actual representation of what Black & White has been like, so liking this episode doesn't mean you'll like any of the Unova seasons, or the N arc (which is where this episode comes from).

One word of advice that I would give to you is to just watch all of it anyway. :shy: They're great if you can get into it again, and if nothing else at least try to return to the anime when X/Y airs, although that may not be for a while if you prefer watching the dub.
 
My bad. I can't believe i missed that this was the N arc (I'm not very fresh with the new games), therefore it should be Unova.

I was disappointed because i watched some episodes and i didn't like them much. I also looked for Ash's team and i didn't like it either (nor Cylan). Basically almost everything of the new season after Sinnoh. Anyway, seeing his old pokemons (gen oner feeling) coming back would make me want to watch it. But yeah, i'd do it from the beggining of the Unova episodes.
 
Ah memories too bad they didn't use the original footage for flashbacks. Also if memory serves he lent his primeape and haunter and promised pidgeot to return so if he never does that overall i will hate the series. Good news though i think in a flashback you can see primeape so he might get him back plus haunter is on the way so maybe him 2.
