Ash's Pokemon : Chimchar and Turtwig ( Talk about it )

They are good Pokemon. I am glad Chimchar was saved from Paul because Paul had Chimchar almost charred completely from making him over battle with Chimchar. All Paul wanted with Chimchar was Power. That is all Paul wants from hi Pokemon anyway is power. Turtwig is pretty strong and fast but he sure likes Ash a lot though.:)
 
I don't know if the two of them will ever evolve.

If they do, it will be Chimchar that might go as far as Monferno. Can't picture Ash with an Infernape and Turtwig will never evolve. It has to many similarities with Bulbasaur. Plus it needs to continue the pattern.

Bulbasaur-first stage
Bayleef-second stage
Sceptile-third stage
Turtwig-first stage
 
I see turtwig to grow into a grotle but unlike many I dont think that the writers are planning on evolving chimchar. Chimchar has to prove its power to Paul-and evolution cant be the way.
 
I find it odd that Grotle and Monferno are yet to appear in the anime (normally they introduce a poke'mon to the anime before ash's poke'mon evolve into them)

-Gligar evolved from Gligar about 10 episodes after battling Paul's
-Grovyle and Sceptile both aired about thirty episodes for the first time on the anime before ash's evolved
-even though Donphan had had numerous occassions already, they gave it another episode in battle frontier, about 20 episodes before ash's phanpy evolved
-Ash caught Torkoal about 10 episodes after battling Flannery's

Long story short, I doubt Turtwig or Chimchar are going to evolve any time soon as their evolutions haven't been introduced onto the show

Going further back:

-Ash caught Chikorita about 20 episodes after facing Casey's, and his evolved into Bayleef about 20 episodes after Casey's was shown evolving.

And yet Paul can have a team of:

Ursaring
Gliscor
Magmar/Electabuzz
Torterra
Honchcrow
Weavile

and you don't consider him overpowered? In the battle fronteir Ash's team was:

Sceptile
Donphan
Aipom
Swellow
Corphish
Pikachu

and not to mention that Charizard was used some. To me thats overpowered more than Ash having an Infernape.

The point is, Paul thinks Chimchar can't and won't evolve. Just like Charmander, I think Chimchar will go all the way. Now as for Turtwig, I doubt he will evolve but if he does it will only be to Grotle.

And I think Ash's final team will look something like this:

Pikachu
Staraptor
Buizel
Turtwig
Infernape
Gliscor/Lucario
 
I really cant see Ash with any sort of big humanshape pokemon in my opinion so I hope that chimchar only evolves once. As for Turtwig, torterra=no, grotle=mabye.
 
I don't think Chimchar will evolve. I think once they're at the Pokemon League, Ash will use it against Paul. They'll both have one Pokemon left and Chimchar will win. Then Pual will regret getting rid of it.
I think Turtwig will probably evolve into Grotle but not Torterra.
 
I think you're right about Chimchar, and I can see the Torterra, like Sceppy at Oak's lab.
 
Ash won't have Torterra, there's too many things wrong with it. They never had his Corphish evolved because Team Aqua already used Crawdaunt, and they didn't want to relate Ash to Team Aqua for negative stereotyping, not to mention it's a dark poke'mon. It's the same with Torterra, Paul has one, and its seen as an opponent. Plus if Turtwig did become one, Ash and Paul's teams would be too similar
 
I cant see Ash having Torterra at all. And for Chimchar, I think what will happen is Ash trains with Chimchar, it gets really strong, and evolves into Monferno. Then, Paul begs for it back. Muhahaha xD
 
I think Turtwig will evlolve to grotle, but not to torterra, just like his Chikorita did to Bayleef. same with chimchar to Infernape, or it won't evolve, like May has Blaziken, Ash has Charizard and Cyndaquil, but no in between.
 
Is Chimchar going to evolve? Or be used in contests (lets see how that turns out...)
 
Ash said in one DP episode that he beleives Pokemon can be strong without evolving so I think he might just keep Chimchar and Turtwig and In the Japanese series Chimchar almost killed paul and he bit Ash.
