Pokemon Attack of the file corruption

In Diamond,I caught/trained nearly 247.When I opened my DS,the file is suddenly corrupted!Worst day of my life.All that work,wasted.

I turn the game off, blow on the inside of the cart a little bit, put it back in, and the game loads just fine.

And then I get on with my life.

Although, there was that one time in Emerald where the game froze right as it said "SAVING DON'T TURN OFF THE POWER". I confess, I freaked out a little. When I booted up, it said it was corrupted, but loaded at my previous save, thank goodness.

Short answer: If that message ever happened to me, it wasn't permanent.

Never happened to me. Although similar things have happened... Like leaving games in the wrong places (hot cars) until they don't work.

I once tried my brother's ruby version after it had corrupted for him. I kept trying it and it corrupted whenever I had more than one pokemon on my team (I spent some time crying into a beanbag chair after it happened 4 times).

Just like DNA, it happened a few times where it reset to the last save point, but I never lost the entire save file. It was on my Sapphire right around Jagged Pass.

I had gotten Emerald for Christmas when it was new. Had been playing a month, and had a team of level 30s, and a level 3 poocheyna I was raising. Evil corruption occurs, and everyone but the poocheyna turned into bad eggs >.<

It happens a lot if you are inexperienced at the Emerald cloning glitch, but you revert to the previous save file thankfully. Follow the instructions carefully.

^Or it could have absolutely nothing to do with the Emerald cloning glitch, since nobody mentioned saving at the Battle Tower.
I think if there was an Emerald cloning glitch incident, we would have heard about it by now. (Oh yes - if you mess up the cloning glitch, the Pokemon you're trying to clone just vanishes. You don't see any Bad Eggs.)

well, thing like that haven't happened to me (yet, cuz after what I read here, I'm affraid it may happen to me too), so why do those things happen exactly? I thought that since we're talking about original game cards, they wouldn't have that kind of problems (I mean, when you just play the right way - meaning the not use of cheating devices, etc.).

Sometimes, the system just gets old and can't read the game pack as well, and/or the contacts aren't all in place. So it's just age really.

The first and only time I (accidentally) picked up a bootleg cartridge, it never read :p

I had a team of level 45-50s in Sapphire, was on my way to catch Kyogre, and boom.

The worst thing is that I was going to send Kyogre to Platinum, and now my Drizzle team is ruined.

I've used the Emerald cloning glitch literally hundreds of times without anything bad happening.
I'm not trying to deny that could happen, just throwing in my thoughts.

I accidentally kept my Soul Silver in my pocket and gave it to my mum to iron.

When I took out the game cart it was warm and expanded, and it said my save file was corrupted, but it loaded up just fine.

I've had multiple game cartridges go through the washing machine. My pearls been in that thing 3 times. Nothing happened, the sticker's a bit faded, but that's it.

My friend tried the cloning glitch on my emerald. All of my Lv. 100s gone. I kicked him because he cloned a Skitty and a Cacturne >.<

day on platinum and it corrupted (showed prof rowan) but i turned my game off then on and i had everything back

I cheated too much on my original sapphire..so much so it refused to recognize itself as a game anymore XD lol. I sold it to Gamecrazy and they didnt even check it..just threw it in a box to be sorted..I got $20 for it and eventually my friend gave me his sapph when he quit pokemon lol.

There's been a few times my other data has been corrupted, but never so bad that it wouldn't ever work..just had to reload the last save (which was almost always just pre-battle anyway so I didn't really lose anything)
