Ruling attack that adds damage counter

when my pokemon like dragonite ex who puts 8 damage counter attacks my opponent who is weak agains leaf...do i hadd 16 damage counter then? 160....or is attacking adding damage counter kinda of like swift that ignores weakness and resistance...

Damage counters is not damage. Only base damage gets Weakness/Resistance things.

you only add weakness & resistance if the amount of damage is written beside the name of the attack....

okey then..what if i add like a strenght charm...would i add one more damage counter?..and what if i have dragonite ex delta and i was fighting against the base set Mr.Mine who's power is that if 30 damage or more can't damage Mr.mine or whatever. could i still damage him?

no u can't damage mr mime(BS) since its already stated that invisible wall prevent 30 damage & above.....

now Dragonite ex d has got two attacks, and I'm going to explain each case.

for the first attack, it does 40 damage, so adding a strength charm WILL add 10 damage. if you're fighting Mr. Mime (Jungle), then the damage will be blocked since no matter you add strength charm or not you're still doing over 30 damage.

for the second attack, it does NOT do any damage, but places damage counters. Thus strength charm does NOT do any additional damage (though it gets discarded for attacking). If you are using this attack against the Jungle Mr. Mime, you would KO it because you're placing counters rather than doing damage.
