i want to know if there is still the need to flip a coin to see if you attack a baby pokemon because a "friend" of mine told me that that rule doesn't exist since neo discovery

is it true

You still have to flip for the old baby cards. Newer babies simply weren't made with that rule, and for good cause; it's obscenely powerful.

The cards have the rule printed below the pokemon picture.

You don't need to flip for cards that don't have that rule printed , and that text was taken away since EX Ruby and Sapphire.

Yes, you only need to flip a coin when you are playing with Baby Pokemon before the EX Series...

Every baby pokémon MUST be flipped for; it is not optional!

Pokémon without the rule on the card are not babies, and can therefore be searched out with Lanette's Net Search. While they may be "baby" in-game and generally, in the TCG baby evolution doesn't make something a true baby.

If it has the baby rule on it, you have to flip in order to attack it. If it doesn't, go ahead and cream the thing.
