Won't see any play but if Arbok EX was easier to set up these two could've been a deadly combo.

People said that Salazzle with Sudden Scorching was gonna be disgusting when it came out for the same reason, and it saw no play.

Salazzle required two energy; that alone killed it, but you also had to evolve it at the right time (this can sit on the bench for forever until you find xerosic) and it also didnt have an alternate evolution like Bannette does; Bannette Ex is almost a deck in itself, so this could actually be really good. Plus budew is a thing now.

But Salazzle had DTE so the double energy cost didn’t matter. Your other points are totally right but I still don’t see it being crazy because hand lock is not that good in a format with so much draw. Maybe I’m underestimating what draw pieces we lose to rotation though.

Could definitely see play with the banette ex and xerosics mechanisations
Mew EX is still around, and the fact you aren't taking any prizes hurts it when all the opponent needs is to draw into Iono or Research

Games not slow enough yet to where a Floslass style stall deck will actually be good, Snorlax only worked cause the ability, Banette is alot easier to manage

This is evil. Vile even. But at the same time it’s pretty funny as long as some terrible hand removing combo doesn’t happen to me :)

Was people really expecting every single card to be related to a trainer? When they are clearly pretty much some kind of an arquetype like Rapid/Single/Fusion for example, its not even like owner mons will be restricted to this set only anyway...
