Hello Everyone,

1. Suppose my opponent is using Beedrill Primal Clash against my active Pokemon, let's call it pokemon Z. He uses "Allergic Shock" on his turn. Then for my turn, I retreat pokemon Z and bring up something else. Then for my opponent's next turn, he retreats Beerill and brings up Chandelure Ex. If he chooses to do "Cursed Drop" on my now benched pokemon Z, is it knocked out?

2. Let's say "Archie's Ace in the Hole" is the only card left in my hand, if I don't have any water pokemon in my discard pile, can I still draw 5 cards? Or do I have to follow exactly everything it says on the card?

Thank You!

1. The second you bench Pokemon Z, all effects on it go away, so it is not KOed by Allergic Shock's affect.

2. Archie's Ace in the Hole (Primal Clash)
Q. Can I play "Archie's Ace in the Hole" or "Maxie's Hidden Ball Trick" if I don't have a Water/Fighting Pokemon in my discard pile?
A. No, you cannot. If you can't put one of those Pokemon onto your bench you don't get to draw 5 cards. (Feb 26, 2015 TPCi Rules Team)

Does the same rule apply for the following:

My opponent's active pokemon is Pokemon Z, and they have Pokemon A on their bench
1. I attack Pokemon Z with Bedrill's Allergic Shock
2. The opponent switches Pokemon Z out with Pokemon A during their turn
3. On my next turn I use Lysander, which switches Pokemon A with Pokemon Z, and hit Pokemon Z with Twin Needle - is Pokemon Z automatically knocked out by Allergic Shock or has that effect gone away because the Pokemon was retreated?

All effects of attacks go away when a Pokemon is moved to the Bench for any reason (so no, you would not automatically KO the Pokemon).
