Keep it to Pop/RNB/Hip Hop please.

My personal favorites were:
Food and Liquor (Lupe Fiasco): Lyrics are awesome and he doesn't talk about materialistic stuff like most rappers nowadays do.

College Dropout & Late Registration (Kanye West): All his beats were amazing his skits pulled all the songs together and almost every song could relate somehow to your life

Slim Shady LP (Eminem): Funny stuff

Blueprint1 (Jay Z): Renegades was an amazing track, and none of the songs were ring tone hits persay

Feel free to list yours.

I would have like to insult you, but the sad truth is that you wouldn't understand me.

I'll try to explain this so that even you can understand. Obviously if I'm asking for title and author than I'm looking for recommendations. If you don't know what recommendation means then its a suggestion. I thought it was even more obvious that if I limited the options to those genres that its because I don't like anything else.

"I would have like to insult you, but the sad truth is that you wouldn't understand me."

^I was being sarcastic^

I was being sarcastic.

Hence the italics.

If you wanted recommendations you should've just said so, instead of making a thread about the best albums of the decade but limiting it to genres you like. That makes no sense.

It actually makes perfect sense. I want the best of the decade of those genres. Me saying recommendations isn't needed, as I got them regardless of me saying so. I limited to genres I liked, didn't say recommendation, and your the only person who's bothered by it.

Again I highly doubt that your being sarcastic as italics isn't a sign of sarcasm, its a sign of emphasize (which ironically fits your statement better than sarcasm would). Moreover you can't have a sarcastic "you". It makes absolutely no sense to ever being sarcastic about a subject in a sentence, hence why I don't believe you.

I'm head off.

It makes me rofl the way lilsparks speaks like he thinks he knows what he's talking about with the authority and clarity of an adult. Listen to yourself dude, you sound like a textbook called: 'Idiocy for dummies'.

Just seriously, accept that other kinds of music are good. And ironically, RnB and Rap is what killed good music. So saying that the best album will be rap/RnB is oxymoronical no? See, we can use big words too. But you know what? We can use them without sounding hilarious.

There's nothing wrong with speaking intelligently. You just don't need to try that hard.

EDIT: You'll prolly ask for examples, so 'hence' was used incorrectly and other words like the way you used ironic didn't work either.

Actually I wasn't going to ask for any details as I'm more curious about how RnB and Rap killed good music (But if you were hoping for me to comment then: I don't exactly see your point on correcting my grammar when you completely ignored the blatant fact that his italics were misused if he really was attempting sarcasm. Also I'm 17 by no way am I an adult nor did I speak with authority).

Where my preference to music and what everyone's opinion on music mix I don't know. My favorite album is a hip hop one, and I do hold Hip Hop/Rap in higher regard than I do towards others. RnB is by no means connected with Rap, so I wouldn't lump them together (assuming that you even have a reason for saying RnB killed Music). People who say Hip Hop/Rap killed music haven't even done the research to see that Souljah Boy, Lil Mama, Hurricane Chris aren't even looked upon figures of the rap world. If they were arguement as to why Hip Hop/Rap isn't any good than you'll need to come at me with something better. The day you can tell me that artists like Lupe Fiasco, Nas, Raekwon, Biggie Smalls, Eminem, and Jay-Z didn't have meaning in their words, amazing beats/vocals, and complex concepts in their music (Just naming a few that rap is frequently misjudged on) is the day pig flies. When you can tell me that any song you have on your Ipod has more meaning and truth in their words than some of those artists I'll honestly say that (insert whatever genre you think is better) is better. I also rather continue this in PM's where nothing can be locked.

EDIT: Now that I think about it if you were asking why I looked down on him with childish insults than it's because I like to see people's responses to meaningless stuff like that. It's not that much of a mystery, nor is it exactly my definition of intelligent conversation/diction (whatever you called it). But that's another subject.

Absolution - Muse
Origin of Symmetry - Muse
Black Holes and Revelations - Muse

I need to listen to more bands. :x

I put RnB and Rap in a category because generally people who listen to those kinds of music listen to that category, and althouhg I know they're unrelated musically, RnB and Rap covers musical areas like HipHop, etc.

I say this because RnB and Rap requires no talent. Very few RnB singers even write they're own lyrics any more. And although some like Beyonce and Lady Gaga have fantastic voices, to be a hit in RnB you can have zero voice. Computers do the rest. Zero talent required. Basically what I'm saying is althouhg many rappers/RnB singers are talented, its not a requirement to be a hit. Any kind of genre like that doesn't deserve much credit. I listen to music by people like Lady gag and Beyonce because they have great voices. Many more don't.

Traditional pop, rock, and other genres of music require a good voice and talented people who work hard playing instruments to make the music. Not just some junkie using sound editing software. It's not comparable.

And I'm sorry about the whole speaking thingy, I was out of line. It just sounded so funny the way you were speaking :s
