Hey Pokebeach! I saw Huntail and how it worked out well with Ho-oh EX in expanded. I was wondering, could this card shine in a Standard deck. Some ideas I have are Blastoise, Ancient Trait Gorbyess, and Excadrill. What do you think?

I put together a deck with Ancient Trait Grobyss online to do daily challenges. Sad to say it doesn't even seem to be very good as a rogue deck.
I used huntail in a kyogre deck, with keldeo and Clawitzer, it wasn't the best deck but if you had enough water energy on the field it does pack a lot of damage. I had experience share equipped on Clawitzer and Keldeo, so if Primal kyogre get knocked out, none of the water energy gets taken out. It takes a lot of time to set up though.
I've always seen it as a very viable Tech for Fairy decks that use Rainbow Energy. Yeah, it's old school and Mega Garde may be more powerful, but the prize exchange is better, you have more variety in attackers and it doesn't necessitate on setting up first turn.
