Best Decks In Expanded

Ookay so I have to participate in an Expanded tournament and I need your opinion... Which Expanded deck should I use? I say Virigen/Manectric cause it runs Tool Scrapper.

Should I develop this deck or try something else? Is there a better deck?

Thanks :D

I honestly haven't tested much in Expanded, but I imagine most of the same decks that are good in Standard are good in Expanded too. Seismitoad/Garbodor (or other Seismitoad Variants) are pretty good at dealing with Rayquaza/Eelektrik, Pyroar, and Donphan, which are all popular Expanded decks in different areas. Vir/Gen/Manectric is as always a decent deck. If you feel comfortable with that deck already, I'd recommend playing that. Especially in a format you haven't tested very much, playing a deck you're comfortable with will give you much better results.

You should try and build Yvetal/Manetric just with Dark Patch, and other dark support that was lost. You are taking the deck to beat in the current format, and adding more things that wreck older decks.

Does Yveltal / Tric really have that kind of room? Yveltal / Tric variants in BCR-On are very tight.

I think VirGen is still quite strong in Expanded, despite it dropping off somewhat in Standard Play. Skyarrow Bridge lets the core Pokemon retreat for free, in addition to Manectric-EX if you decide to run the VIrGenMan build, which I'd reccommend. M-Manectric can also retreat for free, and provides a reliable counter to both Pyroar and Yveltal, all while reattaching energy that you may have discarded via G-Booster. Super Rod provides another way to recycle energy, as well as get back Pokemon that have been KOed. VirGen was the multi-time winning deck at fall Regionals, and even though this was before Phantom Forces, I don't feel as though much has changed against it in Expanded. Skyarrow Bridge and Super Rod are a major factor in the deck's consistency and versatility, and having access to a powerful attacker with 210 HP (M-Manectric-EX) will keep VirGen in the top tier.
