Best Engine for Stage 2 Pokemon?

Hey! So I've been thinking of the best engine, meaning the most consistent engine for stage 2 (or 3 with break) pokemon. An engine that's consistent and won't be a liability.

My ideas: (1) Talonflame SS... The one Cody used.

(2) Bridgette being the old school Pokemon Collector

So, any advice/tips?

Depending upon the number of <=90 HP Pokemon I run in a deck, I may supplement my 3-4 Ultra Balls and 1-2 Shaymin EXs (or 2-2 Octillery) with 1-2 Level Balls to significantly enhance my chances of getting designated Basic Pokemon. Needless to say, not all Stage 2 decks may benefits from running 4 Talonflame.
