Best Platinum-on cards (or most useful/wanted)

I have lately been having a feeling that the 2010-2011 format will be Platinum on and i am trying to find out what people will be using and/or want the most. I realize Lv. X's will be mostly in this but any others?

Seeing as four more sets will release into the format, we have no way of knowing what will be the best, most played, or most useful. Right now, all the SP Support Trainers, some techs (Blissey), some SP Pokemon (Luxray GL Lv.X, Dialga G Lv.X) will probably make the most impact.

dmaster out.

Platinum's Blaziken is big one and IMO Shaymin Lv. X (Land) will be popular, Its in a lot of grass decks just because of its Poke-body.

They better come up with some better pokemon draw power than like...Dodrio SV, because Claydol and Uxie are gonna get rotated out next year, I'm guessing.

^Heck no. This will slow down the format which makes slower decks much more playable. Although, due to Cyrus, SPs still outspeed them by a mile, a good start can finally win you those games instead of having to rely on god starts.

Those slow decks won't even work with out claydol.

And do you know how a lot of non-SP non-scizor-cherrim decks outspeed slow setup decks? Claydol or uxie. Go figure. It ain't just the trainers and supporters. Oh and we can say goodbye to 1-0-1 techs if we don't get those beastly japanese trainer promos.

To the person who said we need better draw than dodrio-its pretty good draw actually. You don't just examine the power of a card, you also have to look at the other parts of the card. For example, 100 to flygon for 3 is pretty handy when you think about all the energy acceleration that we'll be getting soon and also already have. Maybe the card makers are shifting their cards towards energy acceleration instead of draw power...

Ofcourse they do. Consistency is the key...and a big bird.

I agree you want uber draw you've got volkners, claydol is just a lazy way of spelling constitancy, "oh my deck isn't constitant what should i do??" *insert 2-2 claydol* "my decks uber check out MY mad skills"

come on people show some imagination and put some actual effort into making your decks instead of relying on 1 pokemon to provide your setup

Im thinking SPs may be dead. New draw power or they inforce a rule to keep claydol and uxie (unlikely). We can't make an informed judgement as we haven't seen any other sets.

We know AoA. Then come February we'll get the HGSS set, of which we know nothing off yet. Then there's the May and August sets, of which we even know less. We better hope there are some stable drawpower cards in there. Claydol is the glue of so many decks its crazy.

Claydol, Uxie, Luxray GL Lv. X, Blaziken FB Lv. X, Flygon RR, Cyrus's Conspiracy, etc, etc. There's lots of cards that will be good next season.

because not playing cards that have been proven time and time again to make your decks better is the cool thing to do

right
