Discussion Best Starter Decks for Beginners in 2025

Hi everyone,
I’m new to the Pokémon TCG and looking to get started with a beginner-friendly deck. I’d like something that’s easy to learn but still competitive enough for casual play. What are the best starter decks available right now? Thanks for your suggestions!

I think World Championships or EX Battle Arena decks are great places to start!

I’m after the same sort of thing, but from a collecting perspective rather than actually playing the game.

I want packs with mainly the original 151 Pokémon in buttons mind some newer generations.

The 151 and X Y Evolutions have been suggested but they’re not cheap at all are they. Is this the reality if I want to collect original generation Pokémon or do I have any other options?
