Discussion Best Walls in the Game

What are some good walls to put into decks and why? Do particular walls do better in different decks / environments? Be sure to thoroughly explain you posts and the reasoning behind your thoughts.

Note that by walls, I mean Pokémon or maybe some card combinations that are pretty good at taking hits. :) thx
 
Probably my favourite walls are the ones in Team Magma's Secret Base. I think the magma tubes running along them give it a really cool, bright look that happens to be both calming and threatening at the same time. By contrast, the walls in Steel Shelter are kind of bland, and the card reminds me a bit too much of an over-polished bank.

That aside, Aegislash-EX is probably one of the better walls, but can be shut down by Hex Maniac so it's not permanent. Wobbuffet and Wailord are also decent for different kinds of decks, and an unconventional choice is Hawlucha-EX. Anything with Assault Vest also makes a decent wall, but Float Stone can turn a wall into a decent pivot.

Really it depends what deck you use.
 
I'd say assault vest raikou, Regice, the elusive double hard charm/Assault vest Mega Tyranitar, or even the card in your profile pic, with a focus sash it can be a nightmare to knock out. Aside from that, I'd agree above with Aegislash and add Seismitoad and Giratina as being tough to work around.
 
Hex maniac, best wall in the game, shuts down shaymin's, unown, gallade, bats, hoopa's, etc.
 
I think Sigilyph with Bursting Balloon and Froslass in the upcoming BreakPoint and Generations set can be used as a wall
 
Wailord EX. Should be even better once we get Golduck BREAK and Max Potion. Weakness policy can help against grass decks.
 
Walls: Aegislash Ex, Suicune (Expanded), Raikou, Regice, Sigilyph (expanded), Wailord EX, Primal Groudon, Regirock Promo, Pyroar, Beautifly, Robo sub swarm, focus sashed pokes, Crustle, Assault Vested Mega, Hippowdon

Now I may have forgotten a couple but those are the major walls, each with different levels of viability.

Tiers:
S: None

A+ = Assault Vested Pokes/Assault Vested Megas - Don't be surprised to see a couple of decks that perform well running assault vest, makes numbers hard for your opponent and gives you a good attacking option. Wailord Ex - Nearly nothing can one shot it outside of Vespiquen, an easy wall to throw in and has the potential for future decks revolving around it with Golduck Break. Robo Subs - very little drawback besides taking space in the deck, synergy with teammates is nice too - Great for hit and run decks, although those seem to have waned a bit

A: Primal Groudon - With the speed of the current speedy meta Primal Groudon has fallen a bit off of anyone's mind, but with something like Golduck break Primal Groudon could become a fearsome beast once again. Focus Sashed Pokes: Focus sash is a great card that can help any deck wall a little, obviously helps something with an omega barrier even more.

A- Raikou: A bulky and hard hitting one prize attacker, decent currently.

B+: Aegislash-EX, Suicune, Sigilyph. There aren't many decks that can use these effectively currently [Tyrantrum would rather be using Tyrantrum or Giratina as the main attacker] and with hex maniac being a staple,

B: Hippo and Regice: Obviously Hippo and Regice are great in an ex meta, but with too much non-ex they become mediocre walls. Regirock Promo - a safe and easy bench wall, doesn't see much use though because not many decks can use it effectively. I think it has more potential with something like delinquent and sash in standard than people realize though.

C: Anything else. Make a name for yaself other walls
 
I really wouldn't call primal groudon a wall as it is the focus of the deck, it's walls are robo subs and wobbuffet, it is by no means a wall based pokemon, more of a tank.

Also walls aren't technically just pokemon, most of the time it's combinations between cards that wall most decks.
 
I think the legendary beasts are good for walls. Entei + Assault Vest is best, Raikou is good, and Suicune is mediocre.
