I have heard that "poltergeist" ,gengar sf, doesnt affect bibarel...is that true?

and if bibarel gets attaked by steelix for example ...100x heads does this damange aply?

Damage calculation is not an effect. Flipping coins is not an effect. Placing damage counters, inflicting Special Conditions, discarding Energy, etc, are effects. Bibarel's PokeBody doesn't stop any damage, no matter how it is calculated.

As Kaga would say, figuring out damage is an effect on the Pokémon using it. And the things says "excluding damage" so what else is there to say?

Oh, come on, I never get tired of explaining this :(

Unaware
Prevent all effects of attacks, excluding damage, done to Bibarel.

Now let's take Poltergeist piece by piece.

Look at your opponent's hand.

Is this an effect done to Bibarel? No, it's an effect done to your opponent's hand.

This attack does 30 damage times the number of Trainer, Supporter, and Stadium cards in your opponent's hand.

Is this an effect done to Bibarel? Well, the counting of Trainers is not done to Bibarel. Multiplying it by 30 is not done to Bibarel, either. The only thing that is done to Bibarel is the final damage. And as you hopefully read earlier, Bibarel doesn't block damage.

Therefore, Unaware does not affect Poltergeist in any way.

So in that case Gengar's Shadow Room attack wont work?
