I like starting with Skarmory or Nosepass. Skarmory can fetch metal energies (especially the special metal energies) from the deck to build up the other pokemon until it dies or I retreat it into an attacker. Nosepass can help draw cards with collect, and Probopass can draw too with Top Chop. I run few supporters because of Probopass' competitiveness poke-body, so it keeps him doing 60 damage with top chop every turn. Bisharp is there as a big beater with Metal Scissors doing 100+ damage each turn. Cobalion's energy press is ok, and iron breaker can really slow down my opponent while doing some pretty good damage.
The deck tries to be offensive and defensive at the same time, and does quite well for itself. The hard charms combine with the special metal energies and the damage reduction can really add up. Reducing the damage also makes the potions more effective. I would like to keep the hard charm/potion combo in the deck.
I play this deck casually with a few friends. So far the deck has been surprisingly consistent, despite having far fewer supporters than most decks. The Nosepass/Probopass drawing really helps with that (or I'm just lucky a lot with this deck
). To give you guys an idea about my personal metagame enviornment, this deck would currently rank in the mid-tier or upper mid-tier.
