Does leveling up a basic Pokémon get rid of Bite On's effect?

Regardless of what the effect is...

Leveling-up removes all special conditions and effects of attacks.

I believe this is in reference to Mightyena LA (see below). I would like to clarify that Bite On's effects will still be placed on a Basic LV. X Pokemon. If the basic Pokemon is leveled up the turn after Bite On is used, then the effects are removed. However, Basic LV. X Pokemon would still be vulnerable to the effects of this attack in the turns thereafter.
