Hi, i have tried searching for this but to no avail. I got these 2 Pokemon cards when i was younger when i collected the cards about 12-15 years ago, but never really knew what they were. Could anyone help in telling me what they are or what they do in the card game?

Can't be sure, but I suspect it is an error in the printing process. From an official Yu-Gi-Oh Product (a Structure Deck) I once got a card that had the correct back but the front was just straight bars of the four primary printing colors. It was pretty and since it hadn't replaced a card from the actual Structure deck I liked it. XD

I don't know if those symbols are used as part of the printing process, but if they are then that is probably what you have; something that either wasn't supposed to actually get printed or which is supposed to be printed but not put into boosters.

Thank you for your reply Otaku. So if these are not meant to be in circulation have they got any value to them? As i can not find any information on the internet.

I'm no expert on the printing process, but my speculation would be that these were test cards to check alignment, like what you do at home when you replace your ink cartridge. Having a black, rather than yellow, border and a symbol that is slightly off center in both examples makes me think they wanted something simple to reference to make sure things were adjusted to be centered before running mass amounts of cards.

If these are 15 or so years old wouldn't Wizards of the Coast still have been the company printing these? If so maybe do some searching to see if there are similar cards out there with Magic the Gathering backs. I would think the process would have been the same for both games, and Magic was around much earlier so might be some of those out there.

Thank you for your help JayMatt, thinking with what you mentioned, they must be some sort of printing test piece.
I have scrolled through google regards the WOTC, but there isn't anything like mine. There are blank picture cards for testing and foil testing cards. But that is all i can find with WOTC and Pokemon. Seems to be impossible to find anything like what i have, to explain the true meaning of these cards? Very confused haha
