Blastoise/Venasaur Deck??

Trying to help a friend make a deck. He hasn't played in years. He's wanting to use Blastoise and Venasaur for the main guys. Is this viable at all or should he look for something else. I told him about Keldeo/Blastoise. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Well, to give a straight answer to that, no. Two stage 2's have never really succeeded in this format, especially not along with Blastoise which is tight space enough as it is. If he wants to be competitive, it would be best to find something else.
