Hey Pokebeach. This is just a remake of my Blastgatr, but instead with Floatzel.
Now before you troll me to death saying "OMG NO FERLIGATR NEWB!" Pros and Cons should precede.
Pros-
Generally Faster than Ferligatr (Can get set up T2 with a better chance)
If Pokemon Catcher Comes out, cant be stuck in active because free retreat
Dosnt waste a Rare Candy that is necessary for Blastoise
Cons-
If only 1 Floatzel is down, trouble with attaching manual energies (DCE, Rescue, etc...) can follow
Only 80 HP
Less Pratical than Ferligatr
The strategy is to set up atleast a Floatzel and a Blastoise. Then use "Water Acceleration" to attach a water to Floatzel. By attaching a regular energy to Blastoise if he has a DCE already, you can use "Wash Out" to move the energy from Floatzel to Blastoise and do "Hydro Cannon" for a fast 100 damage to anybody.
Ok so heres my list!
Pokemon- 23
4-3-4 Blastoise
3-3 Floatzel
2 Cleffa
4 Mantine
T/S/S- 21
4 Pokemon Collector
4 Rare Candy
3 Pokemon Communications
3 Professor Oaks New Theory
3 Professor Elm's Training Method
1 Flowershop Lady
3 Interviewers Questions
Energy- 16
10 Water
4 DCE
2 Rescue
Cleffa is used for Hand Recovery Early game along with Mantine to search out Blastoise or Floatzel.
Now here is the Match-Up Analyis-
Reshiboar: 70-30
Because of the Weakness and the ability to snipe, Blastzel (or Blastgatr) can usually come up on top while Reshiboar may struggle to compete
Donphan: 60-40
Also because of the Weakness, Blastzel (or Blastgatr) and with Donphan lacking power late game, Blastgatr generally comes on top. However Donphan could win early game with the ability to hit 60 Damage and KO any Squirtle.
Zekrom/Magnazon: 20-80
With Blastoise with a terrible weakness to these two heavy hitters, it is certain that Zekrom or Magnazone will destroy Blastoise easily.
Machamp: 50-50
With Blastgatr having a faster attack while Machamp can take an extra Hydro Cannon, this game can be very even and very enjoyable.
Overall, Blastgatr/Blastzel has man positive matchups and only 2 autolosses, but can compete competitivly because of Reshiboar becoming so large, it may be the new Luxchomp.
