Ruling Bring Down with Manectric

If my opponent has a Manectric from platinum on their bench and i use bring down on a pokemon on their bench it goes through manectrics pokebody electric barrier since its not doin damage and its an effect of the attack right???

Bring Down is an effect rather then damage. Manetric protects against damage, not effects of attacks. Only Pokemon with Unown G equiped and Toxicroak G are immune to Gardenoir LV.X's Bring Down attack. And Manetric itself isn't immune to damage while on the Bench.
