Ruling BUDEW?

BUDEW can search for trainers does this mean DP on trainers? or can it search for trainers from the other sets that really arn't trainers anymore?

example: Phoebe's Stadium is a trainer in the PK set

It can search for trainers from any set ... but not supporters or stadiums. You have to pretend that the older trainers are like the DP ones.

Here, we have been playing it as pre-D/P Trainers are Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums/Tools/TMs, and post-D/P Trainers are just Trainers.
