Standard Budget Buzz/Garb (Or Other Variants)

hello all
I have a league challenge and I have decided to play a garb variant.
I have decided to play this just because of all the new ULP decks (especially Metal) as garb can shut down abilities and hit heavy.

My other option was Espeon/Garb as you can play a combo of parallel and ability lock while hiting heavy(ish)

Please provide stratergies, decklists, opinions and your experiences with the deck

Thanks for all your help.

P.S this is my deck list

3 Buzzwole CIN
2-2 Carbink BREAK FCO
1 Zygarde EX FCO
2 Tapu Lele GRI
3 Trubbish GRI/BKP
2 Garb (Ability) BKP
1 Garb (Trashalanch) GRI

4 Max elixer
2 Nest ball
4 Ultra Ball
2 Parallel
3 Cynthia
4 Guzma
1 Lillie
2 N
3 Sycamore
3 Fighting Fury Belt
3 Float

4 Strong
9 Fighting

If you want the trash Garb, you'll need to play a rainbow energy or two. Perhaps replace a Cynthia for it as you need at least 9 basic energy. Otherwise solid list.

There isn't really much you can cut, as a lot of these cards are necessary. If you really wanted the 2nd rainbow energy, it'd have to come out of the fighting energy and cutting it down to 8 energy can really damage consistency. You could just remove the 3rd trubbish and trash Garb altogether, and add a 10th energy and a 3rd N. I used to play Buzz/Roc, but I don't really have much Buzz/Garb experience except knowing how buzzwole works so I may not be the best guy to give advice, but this is what I do know. Consistency is key and if you compromise it the deck tends to brick later on in the game.

So I would swap cynthia for rainbow and what about the second card. Also I was thinking swapping nest ball for brigette. what are your thoughts

well I could run a 2-3 so Game-1 I never show that i play the trash so they limit on items. then game 2 they suspect I dont play it as i never showed it game 1 so they play heaps of items then i hit heavy. That could be a strategy. I think definitely 1 brigette as you can go t1 3 pokemon and a few elixers.

That sounds like an idea. I reckon brigette over nest ball is also a good choice, as it makes your deck less item reliant and is a great T1 starter. And since you're playing brigette, you can take out the lillie for that rainbow energy instead of the Cynthia, as you need at least 8 draw supporters. 3-3 is a strong line, as some decks choose to play a 3-2 line in case 1 trubbish goes down, so they shouldn't think you play a trash Garb. 1 rainbow energy should be enough, but it's up to you. I can't think of much else, so the best advice I could give now is just playtest it and see what needs sorting.

What do you think of it

It looks very strong and could work. I wish you the best of luck with it. Perhaps report back in a few days with your findings and see if it needs any more tweaking. With any luck, it might win you a league cup or two.

I have done some testing and I have cut the trashalanch and rainbow for 1 more float and choice band, cut 1 ffb for choice and a trubbish for a regirock ex to hit big numbers.
