Ruling burning magmortar??

ive got a question for magmortar lv. X...

can I burn my oppenents benched pokemans or just the active one? and when the active poke is burned and tries to retread the burning stat is cleared right? do u have to flip a coin for retrating burned pokes?

Benched Pokemon can never be affected by Status effects, just so you know.
