I know that the Nintendo 3DS is going to have this but I doubt that Black and White will since the games connect to the internet through the console. (at least I think they do?)
I don't know anywhere you could possibly research the prospect of this, but at least based on what I know about the DS, WPA shouldn't be possible –- simply for the reason that, as far as I know, online capability is tied directly to the DS itself and its respective software rather than that of an individual game (hence when you change Wi-Fi settings you're directed out of gameplay and the same DS menu-esque screen/program shows up every time). Plus the fact that Nintendo isn't a big fan of firmware patches on its handhelds at all to bring about such a profound update, especially now that anything prior to the DSi is slowly becoming a thing of the past, at least for Nintendo and its engineers…
I doubt it, like the person above me said, Nintendo is probably not focusing on the certain handheld game played on, but more as the game play itself. they are not going to continue thinking about the DSlite but with the newer DS
But maybe they wanted to get more players online as they have more online features and since the gts was a failure maybe they needed more marketing for the game, hence the chip having wpa capabilities.
I found this on a site where it said "Get ready ds users as this game connects by wpa. Special software...."then its cut off. What could this mean i cant find the post its been terminated.
