BW Pre-Release Packs Different?

So i just came back from a BW prerelease with 3 of my friends and we didnt get any online code cards.
werent they suppose to come inside the booster packs?
if so, are the pre-release boosters different than retail booster?
and will booster boxes contain the online code cards?

its weird because there were quite alot of people who got the legendary zekrom AND a Holo Zekrom in the same booster. Same situation with Reshiram Legend and Holo. deff not a coincidence

also, FYI, for all the people thinking about attending the BW pre-release
there seems to be a shortage on promos and deckboxes, so its a first come first serve
 
They are supposed to come with every booster pack.


And I am going tomorrow so if I get any maybe we can work out a trade and I will throw in that code card.
 
Maybe the Code Cards come in those blisters? Single-pack blister, dual/triple-pack blister, etc etc.
 
Or there might be special packs that say like "Online Pack, Code inside" and they might be like $5 instead and come with the code
 
You won't be remimbursed; what would they even give you?. My guess it the code comes in single packs you buy at a store. And I read that you are not guarenteed a code in every pack.
 
oh. thats kinda lame.
guess its good marketing. makes you buy packaged booster packs at retail rather than booster boxes online

also, did anyone find the new booster pack wrapping different? its alot harder to open nicely
 
I didn't even know there were codes in the packets, I only knew that the codes came in the starter decks. Also I doubt you'll be remimbursed.

I didn't find the packs any harder to open. It might just be you.

Also, I didn't know that the packs were supposed to have the code cards. I thought it was only the Theme Decks. I just bet nothing was wrong with the packs.

They seemed more apt to tear spirally.
 
what i was refering to when i said it was hard to open, was that it was hard to open just the top part, so you can slide the cards out the top and save the booster wrapper

instead, they just rip down the "spine" of the wrapper
 
I thought they would be using the online Tokens you get from playing/winning online matches and you would buy cards that way to use in the online sim. I don't remember anything announcing that there _would_ be codes in packs.

well, just got the two tins, the victini box, and the 3 starter blister packs.
no codes in any packs. also the pulls were horrible. didnt get any holos except for zekrom and samurott.
the holos seems as rare as primes.

also, the blisters come with a small preview pack, which is 3 random common cards.
 
I just confirmed a trade on gym for a box with codes. I have another box coming as well. I will try and post pics in a week or two if none are posted
